Foley: Show Me The Numbers (CT-GOV)
New Haven Independent ^ | 11-3-10 | Paul Bass

Posted on 11/03/2010 12:16:05 PM PDT by VinL

In a surprise on-air encounter, Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley confronted Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewiciz Wednesday for declaring a winner without having official numbers.

Both Bysiewicz and Foley were calling in to WNPR’s “Colin McEnroe Show” at the time, around 1:30 p.m.

Byiewicz had in the previous hour declared Democrat Dan Malloy the “unofficial” winner of Tuesday’s gubernatorial election by a mere 3,000 votes, out of more than a million. She acknowledged she was basing her declaration in some cases on unofficial numbers from local registrars of voters. In New Haven, for instance, officials hadn’t even finished counting ballots; a 3 p.m. result was promised.

Foley came on McEnroe’s show to say that his campaign has a different tabulation of Tuesday’s vote. He said he won—but by less than “the margin of automatic recount,” which is 2,000 votes.

“If our number is correct, there will be an automatic recount,” Foley said.

He expressed frustration at trying to communicate with Bysiewicz’s office. “We are asking them to release their town-by-town numbers publicly. The secretary of the state released a number. But she doesn’t have all the results in,” Foley said.

That A-hole Malloy makes no qualms about possibly having to raise taxes and those idiot CT voters select him? And the liar Blumenthal too? Must be pre-requisites for getting elected in these leftist hellholes.

“I see stooopid people.”

Actually, much more apt in this case as to Bridgeport-— “I see dead people.............voting”

Soros is a piker compared to Boss Daley. -:0

This Ct election is reminiscent of Daley providing Kennedy with the 200K votes that defeated Nixon in 1960.

Read this excerpt from her wiki profile and you can see she’s a piece of work:

2010 election

On January 27, 2009, Bysiewicz made public her intention to seek the Democratic nomination for governor of Connecticut in the 2010 election.[3]

In February 2009, Quinnipiac University conducted a poll in which they asked:“If the Democratic primary for governor were being held today and the candidates were Dan Malloy, Susan Bysiewicz and Jim Amann, for whom would you vote?” Of the Democrats who responded, 44% said they would vote for Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz, 12% said they would vote for Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy and 4% said they would vote for James Amann, former Speaker of the House.[4]

In a poll conducted by the Susan Bysiewicz gubernatorial exploratory committee in October 2009, support for incumbent Governor Jodi Rell fell to 47% in a head to head contest with Susan Bysiewicz who received 41% of the respondents’ vote. When asked how they would vote if the election was held between Rell and Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy, poll respondents said they would vote 52% for Rell and 31% for Malloy. In Bridgeport alone, those taking part in the poll were asked who they would vote for if the primary were held that day and they said Bysiewicz 31.44 percent, Malloy 14.56 percent.[5]

In January 2010 Bysiewicz dropped her bid for Governor, choosing to instead run for Attorney General. On January 21, 2010 Quinnipiac University released its results a poll of the primary for Attorney General which found that Susan Bysiewicz had a 52-point lead (Bysiewicz 62, Jepsen 10, Undecided 24, 593 Democratic Voters, MOE +/- 4%).[6]
[edit] Qualifications controversy

After Bysiewicz announced her bid for Attorney General, a number of observers questioned her legal qualification to hold the post, citing a state statute that requires the Attorney General to have spent ten years in “active practice” of law.[7] Bysiewicz claimed that her years managing the Secretary of the State’s office should be applied against this requirement. She sought an opinion from the current Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal on the issue.[8] Blumenthal responded that he believed the law to be valid, but the question as to whether Bysiewicz met the requirements had to be decided by the courts or the legislature.[9][10]

Bysiewicz also had to explain filing a form seeking a waiver of a state fee, when she claimed not to be actively practicing law. Her spokesperson said she had made a mistake.[11] While Bysiewicz vowed to continue her campaign despite the qualifications controversy prominent Republicans suggested she was “cooked”[12] and “delusional.”[13]

Under deposition on March 31, 2010, Bysiewicz admitted that “she has never argued a case before a judge and couldn’t remember being in a courtroom to observe litigation since law school.”[14]

On May 5, 2010, Superior Court Judge Michael Sheldon ruled that Bysiewicz was legally qualified to run for state attorney general.[15] However, when the case reached the Connecticut Supreme Court on May 18, Justice Flemming L. Norcott, Jr. handed down the court’s 7-0 unanimous ruling that Bysiewicz failed to meet the requirements of General Statutes Section 3-124, which outlines the qualifications for state attorney general.[16][17] As a consequence, Bysiewicz cannot run for attorney general in 2010, leaving former State Senator George Jepsen the sole remaining Democratic candidate in the race.[16]

This was the most disgraceful bit of brazen Rat thievery that I've witnessed in a long time.

Your dimwit elections folk in two of your rat hellhole cities don't order enough ballots. They run out and do the common sense thing — copy one and count them by hand.

Not satisfied with that remedy, you go and visit one of your crony judges and keep the polls open in that Rat hellhole bastion and coerce your dimwitted supporters to come to the polls to give you a lead just above the recount threshold.

Not to mention that your idiot Senator-elect was begging folks to come down to those SAME inner cities mid-day yesterday because turnout was LOW.

Then you declare a winner NOT based on actual results, but on some back of the envelope math and hearsay from those same corrupt bastards that screwed Foley in the first place.

Is this America or Hugo Chavez's Valenzuela?

It doesn't pass the smell test. What a F’n joke. I hope Foley stands up and fights this obvious fraud.

I’m not at all surprised at the results. After all, Bridgeport was P.T. Barnum country. He was mayor for a time.

We should have known that when Obama and Clinton both came to Bridgeport this past weekend, it was to arrange the fix. they really want us to believe that they only ordered enough ballots for 1/4 of the voters. How come they waited until the other districts were reporting to ask to extend the hours? This stinks.

When are Susan Bysiewicz and Sandy Ayala going to announce their new positions in Obama’s administration.

The radio station moderator should have interjected and told her to fax him a copy of her listed totals at that exact moment. Give her 2 minutes to respond.

With nothing through the fax machine - request federal supervision, because he was aware of a potential civil rights infraction and conspiracy.

Clearly she is trying to influence the election.

No updated voter tally is listed on her website AND the AP tally hasn’t been updated one hour after the RAT hellholes promised their votes would be in.

This reeks of RAT fraud.

agreed. when debicella conceded with a 20pt lead last night, I figured he knew they had pulled it off by keeping the polls open until they had enough votes to beat him.
