(Bean) Wants all absentee and provisional ballots counted
"While some absentee and provisional ballots remain to be counted, Walsh a self-described Tea Party activist believes those votes wont change the ultimate outcome of the election."

Let us hope. Does the Dem Mafia get to count these ballots?
Joe should thank that wacky, League of Women Voters anti-pledge moderator. That was worth at least 500 votes. I’m gonna email and thank them.
Righto. They can count those votes in Cook county. No problem.
The Il 8th covers part of three counties (Cook, Lake, McHenry) and I’m not sure where all the absentees and provisionals are but we know at least some are in Cook since they are part of the Brady/Quinn governor race count too. I did hear that Walsh had lawyers and the Party had lawyers on site.
553 votes. In Cook County surely there are a thousand Democrat votes that can be found in a desk drawer. If the Republican wins by 553 votes some ACORN activists are going to be wearing heavy overshoes.
The inmate ballots from the State Prison haven’t arrived yet??
Where are the Military votes????
Walsh is a real surprise. It is largely a limousine liberal district with Bean pretending to be a moderate.
Bean’s a tool of the trial lawyers (actually, she’s one herself - that’s both a tool and a trial lawyer), so she’ll have no want of legal assistance.
Most of her district is Chicago exurbs and outer suburbs, so the corruption isn’t as well-honed as what you see in the city and inner suburbs, but there’s still enough to be concerned about.
If Walsh wins this, the Republicans will have flipped four house seats in Illinois: Bean, Foster, Hare and Halvorson. There are a total of 19 districts in the state. This would be unbelievable.
Also, toward the end of the campaign, when it became clear he had a real chance to dethrone Bean, an appeal was made t o the national GOP, and they responded. Like many other FReepers, I have been disappointed by Michael Steele. However, to his credit, he made personal appearance at a Joe rally and brought the “Fire Pelosi’ bus entourage. I think it energized the broken glass Tea Party workers, and ultimately made the difference. Bean underestimated the level of anger and dedication from the Tea Party ground game. She thought she was invincible.
Oh gee! Chicago! I'm surprised!
I think the most optimistic predictions were that we might pick up 1 or 2 seats (Halvorson was considered the most vulnerable and maybe Foster) and we probably wouldn’t hold Mark Kirk’s old seat — which we did.
The district doesn’t include any of Chicago. It includes some suburbs, including Barrington and parts of Schaumburg and Palatine.
Agreed! But, when one hears Cook County, one only thinks of Chicago. I consider Summit, Chicago, but I know Chicago is across the street! (Harlem)
This is Illinois... why are they even going through this dance? We all know how it’s going to end. Just certify and move on.
