My sentiments exactly. I was just a little tyke when my Grandparents took me to the opening day parade in Cincy in the early 70's and I got Sparkys autograph on my ball glove.

My Grandparents had traveled south for the Reds spring training for years and they had talked to Sparky alot that spring, so he stopped to say hi to them after the parade and they introduced me.

As young as I was I vaguely remember knowing that Sparky was a big deal, but I was still too young to fully appreciate how great of a manager he was for the Reds.

RIP Sparky. Thanks for the memories.
