Now comes time to carefully recount and throw out all the illegal votes made by illegal aliens

I disagree. While your suggestion is a good start, I believe that it is too late to save this country from a terrible fate. Too many generations have now been conditioned by marxists in our schools. While immigrants pose a significant portion of the problem, they are not the sole source. Too many women will never vote for Republicans as they are terrified that their “right to choose” will be taken away from them, regardless of any other issue facing this country today. Too many people are convinced they must have a government handout to exist in society.

Immigrants are only part of the problem. Our marxist media must be displaced, and our education centers must be cleaned out from the ground up. Without those two areas being repaired, the rest of the problem areas are only symptoms of where the malady originates, IMO.

Yuri Bezmenov says that there are people who have been so demoralized (read: they have no morals, their moral foundation is totally destroyed) that they cannot see what is right in front of their faces. He says they could look at a concentration camp in front of them and still say it is sweetness and light. The only point at which they will “get it” is when the bott hits them in the butt.

Given that the politicians use these people to keep the rest of the nation hostage (as Gimli said of the zombies, “Mighty handy in a tight spot, these guys”).... the useful idiots will always be the last people to get the boot to the butt. Once the coup is complete, they will be the first people to get the boot, but by then it will be too late. If you don’t feel the phython coiling around you until your neck is tight, there is no hope for you.

And that’s pretty much where the mindless liberals are, I think - because they have literally been demoralized, have become depraved.

What I would consider a quarantine is a border, which would happen between distinguishable countries. That’s why I say they need to decide whether they’re USA or Mexico. If they want to be Mexico, fine - but let’s build a wall and guard the border so America doesn’t have to become Mexico too.

Arizona clearly doesn’t want to be Mexico. They are sick of the rape trees, sick of the beheadings and car bombs, sick of the people tortured and then shot point-blank with their hands tied behind their backs and then buried with a hand sticking up out of the dirt for all to see.

They are sick of protests where supposed innocent people who just want a job throw rocks and riot because some people say we need the rule of law. I’m sorry but those are not innocent people quietly coming in for a job; those are mobs seeking to invade and conquer a nation, and “eff off” to anybody who tries to stop them. They are demoralized. They have no morals, and they want to infect the rest of us as well.

I agree with those who say that CA needs to learn that they can’t poop all over the nation and then expect us to come wipe their rears. They need to learn by hard knocks because that is the only thing that stands a chance. In the meantime, the country has to go on and be healed without them, because if we have to wait until they feel the boot in the butt and vote accordingly, it will be too late for all of us.

I hope and pray it’s not already too late for all of us. If our financial position is precarious enough because of Cloward-Piven, Soros’ latest antics, and the Obama coup’s job killing and deficit spending, somebody like Soros could hold the whole nation hostage - threatening all our leaders with pulling the “economic crisis” trigger that will crash the world economy if they balk at anything Soros demands. He can keep demanding that they do the things that will make our economy ever more precarious, ensuring that he will always have a loaded gun to threaten us with.

It’s a vicious circle and at some point we have to get out of it. Another two years of Obama and America may no longer exist. When our leaders realize that, they may have the courage to do what needs to be done BEFORE Obama has destroyed every bit of infrastructure we have and BEFORE Al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah have WMD (possibly including nukes) in this country, for use at any local store or school they choose.

If we’re beginning to feel the boa it is not time to be cautious; it is time to get rid of the boa or die. That’s where I believe we’re at right now. He who hesitates is lost.

Yep. You’re right on the money. Our foundations have been totally destroyed. We need to get rid of the rubble the communists have made of our foundations and put strong, immovable, concrete foundations back where the rubble is now. We need to be a Constitutional republic, as everybody pretends that we are.

King George was able to do despotic things so we resisted and the USA was created. Now anybody who has a job as a regulator/bureaucrat can do even more despotic things. The big tyrannical snake we fought has come back as a thousand basilisks teeming all over the country. Ever read “Book of the Dun Cow”? If so, you’ll recognize what I’m talking about.

They’ve taken over the schools for a long time. Yuri Bezmenov says the game plan for the KGB folks was to get the support of powerful people in media, business, science, education, etc, and use it to worm amoralism into every area of life, to sow confusion and to tear down every foundation that was at some point trustworthy - so people can no longer believe anything. And then the people are ripe for a crisis which leaves communism as the only seemingly viable alternative.

They have to break down families because if families can provide for their own they won’t accept the government being their everything. So they have to push abortion, promiscuity, drugs, homosexuality, porn, deadbeat dads who count on welfare, people gambling rather than having a work ethic, etc. They have to destroy families, because a society with families as the central unit is not ready to accept the government as a better alternative. The tax codes HAVE to punish married people, HAVE to discourage one generation from being able to will their life’s savings to the next, HAVE to get those kids away from the parents as fast and as long as possible. They HAVE to destroy the family so the government can take its place - have to destroy the bonds of love that make fathers and mothers sacrifice for their children and invest all their care and faith into teaching and guiding them. Have to convince children that their parents are morons who only want to suppress them and ruin their fun.

What we have right now is diametrically opposed views of what a society is supposed to be.

The Judeo-Christian worldview is that society is composed of families which nurture and provide for their own according to their own values and the government protects against crime and chaos.

The communist worldview is that the government provides for everybody - decides everything for everybody, including what they can have - and everybody is subject to the wishes of the whole.

The Islamist worldview is that Allah tells everybody what to do and whoever doesn’t do it is killed by the others.

The secularist worldview is everybody do whatever everybody else will let you get away with. If politicians can get away with lying, go for it. If politicians can take my money and give it to somebody else, fine. If media can lie, why not?

As a society we’ve become too lazy to really think through the natural consequences of the directions we are moving. If we don’t come to our senses soon it will be too late. We need to be pointing out these things to everybody we can, before it’s too late.

It seems as almost no one on Free Republic knows that the bailout of California is well underway. Some 30% of California’s debt this year has been guaranteed by the Federal government under a program that also pays 35% of the interest.

Oh, I’m familiar with that, but that only takes them so far. Forget any new bailouts.

What changed everything was Pete Wilson's support for the anti-illegal immigrant Proposition 187 in 1994

Wrong. On the contrary, if 187 had been allowed to stand California would be competitive today.

Back in the day a much larger percentage of the latino vote had roots here extending back more than 5 or 10 years. Less susceptible to the democrat's racial pandering. THAT is the difference.

Liberal California, like a millstone around the neck of the rational portion of the state, is dragging them all into a cesspool of debt, poverty, and loss of liberty. But liberals don’t care about liberty. They want everyone to conform to the liberals’ ideals.

Doubtful. There isn't very much a state can do about immigration policy. Just like Arizona's law, 187 was more symbolic than substantive.

What kinds of benefits an illegal receives certainly is a state's prerogative. Thats what 187 was about.

True, but 1) they don't amount to very much and 2) they're not the primary driver of illegal immigration.

Benefits - educational, medical, etc all totalled cost the state over 10 billion dollars. That is ALOT of money in anyone's book.

Without these benefits the families of laborers would surely not be here. That totals MILLIONS of people.

I’d like to believe that the rest of the country could tell California, “you’re on your own”, but the doofuses in DC will declare it “too big to fail”.

With the mood on budget cutting,I don’t think the rest of the country is in the mood to speed tax money on the follies of the California Lunies.

I heard this Am that Sebeilius Secy of HHS comment that even if the Congress cut her budget by 30%, SHE WOULD STILL HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO IMPLIMENT OBAMACARE. hello, if that is true, obviously the budget for HHS is tooooooooo high. Cut it by 50% maybe then we get to the meat maybe even the bone.
