Why not simply fly to India, like every recent president has done, including this one, with a standard complement of security and aides? Why a fleet? Why so many secret service and why the whole cabinet? Where’s Biden hiding out? Why a bombproof tunnel? Why now, after a resounding defeat of the progressives? Sounds like continuity of government plans.

Or possibly warding off a conventional decapitation shot from Iran, China or even Russia for that matter. If they turn the nukes on ... he's gone.

You are correct; states were conceived as sovereign nations within a federation. They have become, more and more, beholden to the federal government who, in turn, consider the states to be their property, almost into irrelevance. It is up to the citizenry to enforce our sovereignty.
