Team Obama Blaming Rahm
The Daily Beast ^ | 11/4/10 | Richard Wolffe

Posted on 11/04/2010 7:00:00 PM PDT by Nachum

As they assess Tuesday's disaster, some Obama advisers are singling out the recently departed chief of staff. Richard Wolffe on the clash between Emanuel's personal ambition and his party loyalty.

As chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Rahm Emanuel built a Democratic majority in the House. As President Obama's chief of staff, he devised White House strategy toward Capitol Hill. So when the Democrats were going down in flames Tuesday night, where was Obama's chief political architect? Half a continent away, campaigning for himself.

Half a continent away, campaigning for himself in the most pro-Obama place on the planet, largely sheltered from the Republican rubble crashing down on his party all across the country.

And his old colleagues in Washington aren’t too happy about it. Some of them shake their heads in disbelief that Emanuel would bolt at precisely the juncture when the Democrats needed to shape their strategy and message during the homestretch of what everyone knew would be the toughest election cycle in years.

Nancy just wants a few more rides on the jet before she steps down in January—milking it.

These guys cry about Wall Street greed and then try to outdo them.

As I said in another thread yesterday, the first thing Boehner should do is retire that jet.

Give Boehner a C37B...second in line needs some security...especially with plugs in the one hole...heh, if the Coast Guard commandant gets a C37, the SOTH should have one on call....IMO...

Good point. I guess Alexi wasn’t worth the effort. Too much baggage, especially after Blago.

Or maybe they cheated FOR Kirk with the idea or promise that he’ll use his seat to steer some attention away from the zero administration’s corruption that the House is sure to dig up. I hope to God they don’t put Kirk on the judicial committee.

Once chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Rahm Emanuel was beatified as the man who built a Democratic majority in the House.

HOW'D HE DO THAT Conniver Rahm duped the electorate, The wily little twerp had Dems running in solid Repub districts posing as true-blue Believers.

Then calculating Rahmbo got Marxist Ohaha elected saying things like " I want to be another Reagan."

Now for the Good News. The 2010 Midterm Massacre sent all those Rahm Dems skeedaddling into oblivion.....all of 'em.

Post-2010, we know that a politician branded with the "Rahm Seal of Approval" has no future in US politics.....and that includes Ohaha.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF BALDERDASH EVER WRITTEN: " his old colleagues wonder why COS Rahm Emanuel would bolt Washington when Dems needed him to shape their strategy and message in what everyone knew would be the toughest election cycle in years. "

THE FACTS ARE THESE Dems KNEW midterm disaster loomed and they had to hedge their bets. Rahm was targeted since he is a much-hated national symbol of Ohahaism.

Rahm was given the bum's rush out of Washington-----he did not even have a place to stay in Mobtown.

I guess Oprah wouldn't let him stay at her place (titter).

Despite his begging and pleading, conniver Rahm was ousted........ in the hopes of saving a few seats.

Too bad it didn't work (/snix).

We should discuss why the WH Chi-Mob couldn't hold on to Obaba's senate seat, even with the corrupt Chicago machine operating at mach speed.

" Alexi, You're one of the few Dem candidates who agreed to let me campaign with them."

"Yeah, but don't stand too close to me at the rally. Don't mention stimulus, healthcare,
TARP and summer of recovery. And please take your friggin hand off my a**."
