Conn. Secretary Of State: I Have No Answers On Gov Race
CBS ^

Posted on 11/04/2010 7:04:12 PM PDT by Chet 99

There was election drama in Connecticut on Thursday.

Two days after residents cast their votes, they’re still waiting for word on who will be their next governor. Connecticut’s secretary of state said she can’t tell the media who the next governor is, even though she did just that unofficially on Wednesday.

Susan Bysiewicz, a Democrat, unofficially declared Democrat Dan Malloy the likely governor-elect on the day after the election, but now, it seems, vote tally snags in Bridgeport is preventing her verifying her own prediction.

She spoke with CBS 2’s Lou Young in Hartford on Thursday afternoon.

“The numbers that we got yesterday were numbers that were given to us by an election official over the phone, but we do not have the returns,” Bysiewicz said. “We are waiting as you are and I don’t have anything really more to add.”

When she was asked if she was advising the media to forget about what she said Wednesday about the numbers from Bridgeport, Bysiewicz said, “I am reminding you that I gave you unofficial numbers. Our numbers are on our Web site, but I cannot compel Bridgeport to prepare their return and give it to us.”

So, officially, Republican Tom Foley is ahead by 8,400 votes, but Bridgeport, the largest city in the state, is expected to erase that lead.

Not one lefty reporter has asked:

—Are the “uncounted” votes for all of Bridgeport or just a few precincts? If just a few precincts name them.
—Are all the votes counted in all the other races? If so, how is that possible?

Theft in broad daylight.

We need armies of lawyers on this one. Sue everybody.

Have you ever noticed how incompetent Democrats are when they run the elections or anything for that matter...The republicans need to pass laws that make it hard to vote not easy.. Even though it is your right to vote if you make it to easy you have too many incompetent people voting for democrats!

Election theft needs to stop.

You can’t “find” a bag of ballots after an election.

Every person whose vote is in that bag needs to be personally interviewed. Where were they when they placed the vote, etc. All interviews done INDEPENDANTLY of each other.

Prior to the interviews, the chain of owvership needzs to be estab;lished - who - exactly , under penalty of perjury, knows where that bag came from. Who put it down, and who picked it up. If they don’t have that info - no votes should count.

And when they do have that info - that person needs to be tried for perjury, when the data is not supported by the testimony of the “voters”.

One dead voter - the whole bag goes.

Any conspiracy documented - needs to be dealt with as treason.

Are you serious? They actually photocopied ballots? And the ballots aren’t numbered?

They "ran out" of ballots. So in order to ensure that no one was disenfranchised, they started photocopying them in addition to going to court for an injunction to keep the polls open a few extra hours.

This is cover for the perfect voter fraud crime if you think about it. You can cry minority disenfranchisement to high heaven if these votes aren't counted.

Something definitely doesn't smell right in CT, that's for sure.

Agreed. Unless you can somehow get these dimwitted RATS to admit that they committed fraud, you can't prosecute because minorities and women would be adversely affected.

The RATS would figure out a way to claim that grandma, the children, gays and lesbians were cheated too, to make it an affront against everything PC.

Why so slow???

...to make sure they have enough votes to put close races over the top for Dems...maybe extra electronic card voting for people who didn't show up, for example. This can happen in precincts that are all dem with all dem election judges.

“When she was asked if she was advising the media to forget about what she said Wednesday about the numbers from Bridgeport, Bysiewicz said, “I am reminding you that I gave you unofficial numbers. “

I heard her on the radio, and the thought that leaped to mind was, “Party hack.”

I just don’t get the mindset of someone who works in this capacity, as the person who is the gatekeeper of the people’s votes, who is so arrogantly partisan.

They diverted genuine ballots to ‘discover’ later, while forcing the use of photocopies.

And they kept the polls open another two hours, but the all-important reverse-911 calls to inform voters of the fact were broadcast only to left-leaning areas.

Here in the UK only properly certified ballots are admissible: if the ballots run out then they run out. But they don’t run out, because the ballot office knows how many legal ballots to create.

It should be the same in America: but of course it isn’t - because Democrats break the law with impunity.

"Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz and her office needs to be investigated. What an embarrassment and an outrage, ridiculous!"

Yes, but who would conduct the investigation? When the legal system is corrupt, the options are severely limited. The GOP has to win outside the margin of fraud to be assured of a victory.

Why does this happen EVERY SINGLE ELECTION and nothing is done!?!?!?

I would like to see federal agents at every polling place in America along with hand pick representatives from each party that are empowered by law to watch the ballots until the counting is finished.

Something tells me that if they did actually commit massive voter fraud, their own stupidity is going to end up dooming them in the end.

This whole ordeal doesn’t pass the smell test. How many spoiled ballots could there possibly be that they were “running out of ballots” all over the city by 3 PM, but the city ordered 21,000 ballots and 21,875 votes were cast for Gubernatorial election?

They claim 26,000 people voted. Are you telling me that there were either 5,000 spoiled ballots or undervotes for the second-most contested race in the state? Seriously?

And it’s not like the registrar who ordered the ballots didn’t have experience. She’s been doing this for 30 years.

I just don’t get it. Either someone is so grossly incompetent that they should be fired or someone is so crooked that they should go away for a long time in handcuffs. It’s a disgrace.

And Foley somehow lost Bridgeport by an exact number of 17,800 to 4,075 if these press numbers are accurate.

Do they think the voting public is that stupid? I don’t get it.

Bridgeport is a corrupt stinkhole Dem city.

Malloy can steal this with false ballots and maybe help from former jailed Bridgeport mayor Joe Ganim.

What a joke.

They have an answer. It isn’t the one they want so they will keep manipulating vote counts until the get it to work the way they want, not the way the voters voted!

The dems still have one thought....2000/Gore was stolen from them...now they are justified stealing as many as they want, period.

The GOP better start lawyering-up....even expediting cases to the Supreme Court(while it's still...well..."conservative").

It's gonna get nasty...the time for "southern gentleman" and other GOP milquetoast's is over....it's "the Christie way"...or the highway.

Boehner and McConnell are old establishment GOP...talk is cheap, need men of action...who's got the stones to do whats necessary and fight the socialist trend?

Sure.

Find black precincts, claims you’re out of ballots, extend the votong hours, copy blank ballots, use the 9-1-1 reverse calling system to tell people the polls are still open and they have ballots, then let the thugs drag them in to vote and fill out as many others as you need because you can always claim in court that you had a great response to the reverse 9-1-1 effort.

This may be the worst one ever. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so serious.
