This year's Federal Employees Health Benefits Program open season starts on Monday, and runs through Dec. 13. Many federal retirees and those planning for retirement ask me, "Why do I need Medicare if I already have health insurance under FEHBP?" The fact is, in many cases it makes sense to have both FEHBP and Medicare coverage. I don’t imagine too many Freepers are anxious to admit to being Federal employees right now.....
ALL federal employees including elected ones.. and their staffs.. ALL OF THEM..
And HOPE and Pray they raise hell over this legislation..

It just could be Federal Unions are a threat to National Security.. i.e. SEIU
my dad is a fed employee......he refuses to vote ever again until a candidate promises to make English the official Language and seal the border....
traveling with him is a hoot.....he flashes a badge and they all just step back and let him through as if he is a dignitary.....I think they all think he is FBI or something....

Why not? One out of eight people work for the Federal government. There are a lot of maintenance people for national parks, federal buildings and regular working people. Just because elected crooks give us a bad name is no reason to deny the job I used to do.
I’m a Fed too...and have put up with name calling and other assorted BS from other freepers that think they have a clue.
It’s getting old.

All federal retirees need to be aware that over 80% the Fed LTC plan is overpriced compared to private plans. This is especially true for those who are married and in good health.
Should anyone have any questions, or would like assistance finding a good LTC specialist in their area, feel free to respond to me in private.
