'The people have spoken, the bastards." That would be how Democrats in the White House and on Capitol Hill are feeling. The last two years of their leadership have been rebuffed. The question for the Democratic Party: Was it worth it? Was it worth following the president and the speaker in their mad pursuit of liberal legislation the country would not, could not, like? I left the computer after I posted and then it occurred to me that I wasn’t very clear. I was thinging about the portion of your comment:
“Now, society scoffs at the nature of women, and wants to create a race of people that are not quite men, and not really women.”
Then I said, “That sounds like the tenets of Islam.”

I’ve been thinking that American men are coming to hate American women for taking the children in a divorce, abortion and general mean-girlness. Maybe when Sharia Law starts coming, American men will not be so offended!
I once clicked on a link in the WSJ daily e-mail, “Today’s Columnist.” It was Noonan’s column. I wrote an e-mail telling them that I deliberately avoid clicking on any link leading to Noonan, because I don’t want to contribute to her click tally.
I received an apologetic e-mail in reply, promising it wouldn’t happen again.
I refuse to read anything written by Peggy Noonan.
