WEST PAWLET, Vt. -- Vermont State Police are investigating a Sunday night incident in which a Vermont man said he was stabbed by a person wearing a gorilla suit, police said.
The incident happened at 8:20 p.m. on New Street, just over the New York state line from Granville, according to Vermont State Police.
The victim told police he heard someone at his front door and opened it expecting a trick-or-treater, police said. Instead, he found a man who was nearly 6 feet tall and wearing a gorilla suit, who stuck him with a "small, needle-like device" and fled, police said.

Trick or treat.

That’s actually rather creepy...
How does he know it was a man?
Slightly familiar with this area—my dad was friends with a guy from Pawlet who volunteered for boy scouts, worked for a furniture maker in Granville, and owned an old railroad station that got brought into Pawlet and turned into a breakfast, lunch, and ice cream restaurant (the man is now dead and the restaurant is a “bistro” of some sort). But Pawlet—and West Pawlet—is very scenic with waterfalls,
meadows, mountains. W. Pawlet is indeed right on the NY
state line and last yr I went through on a Sunday morning as the locals were attending an old-fashioned church, etc.
Am heading up to Vt for Veteran’s Day, staying in Rutland,
and may go by the area. Will let folks know if I can find the guy in a gorilla suit :)
Too bad it wasn't "man stabbed by guy in gorilla suit, guy in gorilla suit shot and killed by bleeding man..."
For someone with imagination there is a movie to be made here.
Al Franken roaming around in VT? Wow, who’d a thunk it?
Bobby, deh ever catch dat gorilla that busted outa da zoo and punched you in da eye?
At least it wasn’t a small, beeber-like device. He might have been stuned.
These constant lies about The First Wookie must stop!
