It’s their job to make the determination if this is something to be concerned about or not.

Ummmm.....NO...not just NO but HELL NO it's the congregation's job to make the determination if this is something to be concerned about or not! Then, hopefully, law enforcement will agree and keep an on top of the situation.

Law enforcement is under ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION to protect any one individual from crime but to catch those who perpetrate the crimes. It is up to us, individually, to keep ourselves safe.

Sorry if I wasn't more clear. As a CC permit holder myself, I wasn't implying that members shouldn't be alert and ready to take appropriate action. I am suggesting that they should let the authorities know and allow them to do their job of determining if the incident warranted further investigation by them. They have access to databases that allow them to find out if a pattern exists. The report will also go into the same database for use by others locally and nationwide. I don't think I have to tell you how important this could be in preventing some kind of coordinated attack.

Yes they are and certainly a church congregation as voters of a community carry a lot of weight.

Amen! All they are concerned about is catching the person who did the dirty deed AFTER the blood has already been shed and the deed is done.
