It seems to me that Muslims permit themselves many behaviors that Muslim apologists claim are against Islam.
It is against Islam to beat women.
It is against Islam to cheat a renter.
It is against Islam to mistreat people of the Book.
And so on ......
No doubt about it, they do what they want and rationalize it.
