Rep. Mike Pence (R., Ind.) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said they were still weighing whether to run for president in 2012, but decisions could be coming shortly.
Mr. Pence, in an interview on ABCs This Week, said he was intent on taking the coming weeks to really prayerfully consider that, to wait on the Lord, to seek counsel. And after the first of the year, well make a decision.
Well, I dont know for sure what Im going to do after Im done being governor, Mr. Pawlenty told CNNs State of the Union on Sunday. Ill decide that early next year.
Sen. Jim DeMint (R. S.C.) had some advice for whoever wants to win the Republican nomination. I think the next Republican running for president needs to run on complete repeal of the new health care law, he in an appearance on NBCs Meet the Press.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican, said he absolutely was not running for president in 2012. Or vice president, for that matter.
Can you see me as somebody whos a vice president? he said on Meet the Press. After that question about Governor Wrecking Ball? I would feel bad for that poor man or woman.

Pawlenty. Yawn.
Spence I like.
Pawlenty, eh.
Pawlenty is another one of those “Get over Reagan” clowns
Just like the Bush herd. And BTW yawns are gonna be soooooooooo mad at you!
Mike Pence is the one who I was hoping to support in 2008. I ended up supporting Fred Thompson. I hope he decides to run this time.
I honestly know nothing about Pawlenty. I’ve heard his name, but thats it. What kind of a feller is he?
Rino who is trending right because that is the trend.
he’s Minnesotans governor.. And I would NOT vote for him unless i had to.
I supported Fred Thompson as well, it was disappointing that he didn’t win. Hopefully, Pence will run.
Why, Pawlenty is a fearless conservative who screamed long and loud and worked tirelessly to stop Democrats stealing Minnesota elections!
What? He isn’t and he didn’t?
Nevermind...
He's done a good job as governor of Minnesota and done pretty much all the 'right' things from day one in office, really going back to his days in the Minnesota legislature.
Has a populist streak but he's by far the most conservative governor Minnesota has had in the modern era. Which, of course, isn't enough to satisfy his critics.
Moochelle weighs 2012, too.
ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Pawlenty is a pretty good governor who has not gotten any credit for the difficult position he was put in when the Minnesota House and Senate were controlled by Democrats. In Minnesota, to be a Democrat is at least 3 shades more liberal than your average Democrat.
In fact, Gov. Pawlenty single-handedly kept Minnesota solvent up until the past year when the liberal spending leftists went wild with their idiotic spending plans. They were continually whining about everything going downhill and how the state was being ruined by Gov. Pawlenty. Pawlenty vetoed bill after bill, and was criticized relentlessly by the press and the unions. It was only through Pawlenty’s resolute fiscal conservatism that Minnesota did not become another California or New York, and our unemployment remained about 2% points lower than the national average. [no thanks to the liberals].
I would rate Pawlenty as center-right, only because he flirted with the global warming hoax for awhile, and he is an advocate of ethanol. He is certainly a decent man, and a social conservative. I think he would be a great addition to a GOP administration, but not necessarily the CiC.
dj,
Pence would cut into Palin support in IOWA. Pawlenty could be the man to stop MITTSTER in NHampshire. The anti-Romney folks don’t have a candidate in NHampshire. Palin won’t sell up there. The conservatives are anti-religious. Or irreligious.
We are 9 months from the Ames Straw Poll, afterwich candidates start to drop out. Anybody goin’ to Ames for the summah? Moi? Non.
Weigh in boys, but I’ll be voting for Palin.
2008 was demoralizing: Huck, Romney, McCain, Giuliani, Thompson. I liked Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo, but neither were presidential timber. To his credit, Tancredo succeeded in his bid to defeat the pro-amnesty forces in the GOP.
Right now, the only candidate I can imagine voting for is Palin. I know little about Pawlenty and Romney is an untrustworthy flip flopper. Gingrich is a throwback to the 1990s.
