I’m not going to waste my time posting to you. You’ve made assumptions about me based on thin air. Pffft!

What qualifications did Bush have to be have to be president?

Well he did serve two full terms as governor of a populous (25,000,000), and wealthy (GSP 1.25 trillion) state. Compare that to a partial term as governor of a state that has a tiny population and (<700,000) little industry (GSP 44.9 billion).

Didn’t know if you heard but GW Bush will be on Rush’s show tomorrow at 1:06.

Hopefully this subject will be put to bed.

No, I didn’t. I’ll look for it. That ought to be pretty good ... two guys I could have a lot of fun with out on the golf course with a cigar and a few laughs. Politics aside, for the moment, those are two good men, right there.

Does your arithmetic show that Alaska's GSP per capita is about 20% higher than that of Texas?

Oh, and I live in Texas.

I heard GWB deny that he said this on Rush’s show today. In my opinion, it’s all psyops to denigrate Palin. If she wants to run for the Presidency, I’m all for it. She’ll have to win the primaries against all the other wannabees in 2012.

I would have included it if were relevant to the subject at hand, which was the population/wealth of a state as it applies to the responsibilities of the state executive. It wouldn't matter if the GSP per capita was 10 times that of Texas, as it would still result in a budgetary responsibility 1/3 the size of that on the desk of the Texas governor. GW was infinitely more experienced as an executive compared to Palin, and per capita breakdowns won't change that.

...Well he did serve two full terms as governor ...

He was elected twice, but it was still early in his second term when he was elected President. He had about two, two and a half years' additional statehouse experience over Palin.

His term(s) as governor was/were very different both stylistically and substantively from Palin's. She took on the "Corrupt Bastards club" (current presiding officer: Lisa Murkowski) and got more money for the state from severance of depletable natural resources, whereas her predecessors had been happy to climb into bed with the producers and facilitate their saving billions on potential taxes while "taking care of" the pols (i.e. buying them).

Bush was much friendlier to Democrats ("reaching across he aisle") and "bidness" and frequently ran primary opponents against sitting conservative Republicans, especially on the state school board, which is a lightning rod for liberals nationally because our state board had some excellent conservatives who weren't taking any crap from NEA Leftoids and America-bashing textbook authors. The Norm Lear crowd went nuts every time the Texas board knocked down another revisionist, identity-politics-retailing textbook. Texans loved them, but Manor Bush did not, and the Bush family did their best to accommodate the Leftist troglodytes in academe.

Bush's appointees, as later, tended to be squishy, swishy, uber-RiNOsceroid and Hispanic -- the Democratic coalition. He was so "collegial", working with Karl Rove on the politics, that the Democratic state comptroller -- a 'Rat golem in the legislature and politics generally -- actually made a campaign contribution to Bush when he ran for reelection as governor.

That's like having Rahm Emanuel or Dick Durbin give Mitt Romney a campaign contribution -- almost an exact analogy.

See anything interesting in that pattern? As a conservative, I do.

You’re a liar or criminally stupid. That vote was to oppose ANY TREATY that endangered the economy or security of the United States. Kyoto was NEVER brought to the floor.
