Bush 'Thinks' Sarah Palin 'Unqualified'
The Economic Times ^ | 6 NOV, 2010

Posted on 11/07/2010 11:23:53 PM PST by nickcarraway

George W Bush has suggested that Republican leader Sarah Palin is "unqualified" and she spoiled the party's 2008 presidential election campaign, a top aide of the former US President has said.

"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man. He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin," a Republican official close to Bush was quoted as saying by the 'New York Daily News'.

Bush suggested that the 46-year-old glamorous former Alaskan governor is not at all qualified to be President and criticised Senator John McCain for picking her as his Running Mate in 2008, the report said.

Matt Latimer, former special assistant to Bush, wrote in a book released last year: "'I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have'. (Bush's) eyes twinkled, then he asked, 'What is she, the governor of Guam?'"

Bush has been disparaging about Palin in the past.

My gut says it’s that fat maggot Rove. My gut says that it is a bunch of very average looking people who work always to control it all. I'd propose a bet with you, but Rove might end up the only voice on America's Airwaves.

The Bush family thinks they own the US presidency...the only person he thinks is qualified is Jeb...

Bad news for Dubya, he was never qualified.

As the saying goes, Obama is merely Bush on steriods when it comes to spending..

Expect Dubya to start lobbying for amnesty next..

What some people on Free Republic need to understand is that their an elitist group inside the Republican party. They do not like outsiders.

Any real conservative that will puts conservatism above the party. Bush is a party first type and not conservative first. That is why for instance, why we gave money to Africa, prescription drugs benefits and the Bush Kennedy no child left behind was passed. Many freepers mistake Bush for being a conservative. He is a Republican first and always.

It seems to there has been a lot of disnformation that serves to sow disagreement within the Conservative movement from anonymous sources quoted in the Press recently. Get ready for years of it. How the only chance that Western Civilization has to reassert itself and become viral will take many paths. You can be part of it. Spread the word that Government has become too powerful because it empowers its favorite(silver spoon) sons that want to harness our energy to its own pocketbooks through inflation.

Why do most anti-Bush posters on Free Republic read like students from an English-As-A-Second-Language crash course?

Agree 100%.... Just like you have Obots (Obama Kool-Aid drinkers)... You have Bush Bots. They drive me up the wall. We will never be conservatives if we turn our backs when a conservative gets slammed.

I see you are still buying the drive-by BS to divide conservatives and to attack Palin? Buying into such BS is to help Dhimmicrats while letting your neurons be devoured by the Bush Derangement Syndrome.

They tried the same during the 2008 campaign but the truth was that Bush was supportive of Palin and held her in high esteem. How many more threads on this garbage do we need?

Expect Dubya to start lobbying for amnesty next.. I don't think he will. If he does, rebuke him. He only wears two shoes.

Looks like I struck a nerve. Hey smart guy GFY! This is the Internet, and this is not an English course. If that is what you are looking for, then you better go read book.

BTW, keep drinking your Bush Kool-Aid! Bush is party first type and is NOT a conservative.

Bush is party first type and is NOT a conservative. There is no party from here on out. Just conservatism and how we can implement it as fast and enduringly as possible.

Maybe this anonymous nonsense is a good thing.

Yup. And when it's disproved, it will illustrate once again, how gullible and fickle some FReepers are.

Or that he couldn’t get even a minor reform of social security passed, couldn’t speak grammatical, let alone inspiring English, and in general, couldn’t lead his way out of a wet paper bag.

"grammatical" huh? Hey Eninstein, you used the word as an adverb, and thus it should be spelled "grammatically." As for his leadership skills, why not post your credentials?

Unnamed source close to Bush, eh?

Well, gee, I’m convinced, especially coming from the NY Daily News.

People should not be so gullible. The left is deathly afraid of Palin. This is the beginning of the leftwing media’s effort to pick a sure loser for the pubs in ‘12 just like they did with McShame in ‘08.
