The GOP takeover of the House holds the nightmare scenario for Democrats of putting Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) in charge of the House Oversight Committee.
Issa spent the last two years attempting to get subpoena power for a range of inquiries into activities in the Obama administration, including the firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin, and to get a much closer look at the Friends of Angelo program at Countrywide Mortgage that appeared to offer sweetheart loan packages to leading Democrats in position to help Angelo Mozilo with regulators and legislation.
Issa told Chris Wallace that the latter scandal would be of particular interest to the committee in the next session, but that there will be plenty of other probes conducted as well:

Call me when theres a whole lotta convictions going on.
Eddie Bernice Johnson, Maxine Waters and Snooki Rangel are a few of the fools who need investigated.
Issa is going to be a very busy man for a while.
order your bags of popcorn startin’ in january. Don’t you like to see commies sweatin’ to the subpoenas????
Is Issa now working for the TSA?
Indeed I do. However, I would much rather see 'em sweat'n on their way to the Gray Bar Hotel.
The Dodd/Countrywide connection especially needs investigating.
They also need to investigate the closing of the GM dealerships.

You got alotta splainin' to do...
You POS.
Maybe by the time he’s in front of Issa’s committee he’ll have had time to read the Arizona law and come up with a plausible explanation as to why Arizona is being sued for implementing immigration policy and sanctuary cities, who defy, go their way with impugnity.
Shame on you. You give lawn ordure a bad name.
I don’t think the public will welcome three solid years of wasted time and money on witch hunts for the purpose of retribution. Issues front and center should be those that have direct impact on the public. If the charges are corruption, they should have direct bearing on legislation or policy. No one wants to see millions spent on producing a stained blue dress.
Michael Mann???
I’m beginning to suspect all this “investigating” Issa keeps talking about will amount to nothing more than a whitewash.
