As several freepers point out, and as mentioned on earlier threads, Barbara Bush put the miscarried fetus in a jar to bring it to the hospital, in hopes that they could figure out what went wrong.

But it seems very strange to me that a mother would show it to her small child. That is strange, indeed.

Barbara Bush was pro-choice, although she kept quiet about it while in the White House.

He was in his teens. I’m not sure if I’d show it or not. It was his only chance to see that brother/sister in this life, so I think I’d make the offer. People used to photograph dead children and send the photos to relatives who hadn’t had a chance to see the child in life (18th-century era).

Since when is a teenager old enough to 'drive his distraught mother to the hospital' considered a SMALL child???? A small child driving a car would indeed be strange - a teenager old enough to drive not so much.

Thank you. THAT is what is disturbing to me.
