New Delhi: The Left may have staged protests during his visit but US President Barack Obama was "glad" to meet an Indian communist leader last evening.
"I am glad to meet an Indian communist. I am told that communists have been part of the (Indian) political mainstream," Obama told CPM Politburo member Sitaram Yechury at the Rashtrapati Bhawan banquet as they were introduced and both shook hands.
Yechury told Obama that the Indian communists have been in the political mainstream "throughout".
Marking a departure from their past practice, leaders and MPs of the CPM and CPI, known for their anti-US stance, had attended Obama's speech in Parliament last evening.

Ditto.
The only thing will save the USA from socialism is the fact that Obama is a cowardly little low I.Q. bi-sexual beta male and not the old commie alpha males like Lenin or Mao.

Question: Was it a regular "Western" handshake, or the communist, clenched fist, 1960s type "power" handshake?"
Like, Slurpees of the World United, Brother!

The large Communist Party of India has always been a Soviet affiliate. One of its leaders was Romesh Chandra, the leader of the KGB/CPSU front known as the World Peace Council.
Several American communists including Abe Feinglass, were officials of the WPC, and some members of Congress actually supported WPC delegations and affairs. These included Rep. John Conyers, Charles Rangel, Don Edwards, and others.
You can find them listed at www.Keywiki.org, SEARCH for “World Peace Council” and “US Peace Council” for more details on US congressmen and women supporting this Soviet front.

It’s fascinating to me that there’s a mainstream party in India that espouses a dead ideology. I’ll tell you, communism is dead, but communists around the World have never gotten the message. According to former communist nations, communism doesn’t work.

I hope one of the first things the house does in January is to re-institute the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) and start investigating the communists in our government - from the top down. Communism and the CPUSA are threats to our national security. They should be rounded up and extradited to the communist nation of their choice.

WE have better re-institute the House Committee on Un-American Activities, or we are just whistling in the wind.
Round these enemies of the state up and deal with them accordingly.
We've got some work to do.

Wow. “They both shook hands.” Versus one of them shaking hands and the other just standing there? Wonderful prose. Not!
