What this crap saying mystery missile’ may have been “errant” launch, ...if we launched even by accident...we know it...the launch was out at sea...if one of OUR ships or sub... don’t you think the Captain would get right on the radio when it happen to to the Pentagon and say “Opps! or "look out" or "Fore!" or something?
I think we can all agree that the DOD knows if a missle was really launched. If it was an American missle, they know that too. It's hard to imagine that an "errant launch" is even possible, but "errant" might mean it was unauthorized, rather than accidental.
In any case, if a missle was launched erroneously, somebody is in a great deal of trouble.
It's even harder to believe that the Russians or Chinese would have launched near our coast. First, there's no reason for one of their boomers to get that close to us. Second, they would never want to reveal they were there, especially in such a spectacular fashion. An "errant launch", on their part, would likely be fatal for the person responsible.
