So at going rates, the operation probably cost this guy anywhere from $5,000 - $8,000 for each phase of the operation.

I have always said that these poor, confused people need counseling not surgery. In it’s ultimate wisdom, the American Psychiatric Association decided a long time ago that everyone should be accepted for who they are and not judged. Our Doctors have fallen prey to political correctness. More’s the pity for those who could be helped by medical expertise instead of mutilated in the name of political correctness.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to inject themselves with female hormones?
It is not easy being a full throttle hormonal raging women.
I don’t know about most ladies but the drop in hormones that happens naturally when we age/menopause was for me the best I have ever felt mentally. I don’t care much for the physical issues that are now coming up post meno but the mental clarity/wisdom and even temperment/no mood swings is a great gift of aging away from child bearing years.

I couldn’t agree more. No amount of surgical self-mutilation does more then offer the illusion of changed gender. DNA is determinative, and does not recognize such a false facade.
If a person is heterosexual, be hetrosexual. If they are homosexual, be homosexual. But the point is to deal with the reality of who they actually are and try to progress from there. Nothing good in the long run can come from such drastic and irreparable self-deception.

on a serious note...you are so right. testosterone therapy is much needed by many men, sadly. but all of the hysteria about steroids and our generally feminist culture has made it sort of taboo. it is a very legitimate medical need and it should be studied more, and practiced more widely.
We now have a major problem: Our schools are now effectively soliciting for these queers.
