To a large part, the election was driven by middle class voters who appear to feel disenfranchised by Washington.

The election was driven by two basic and interconnected ideas (ideals?):

1. Get the federal government out of every minute aspect of our lives and back to constitutionally defined responsibilities.

2. Get the federal government's money grubbing tentacles out of our pockets and the pockets of our unborn children and grandchildren.
