New challenge to Nancy Pelosi from liberal Dems (outside the RAT'S conservative wing)

New challenge to Nancy Pelosi from liberal Dems

Two House Democrats outside the conservative wing are urging colleagues today to postpone leadership elections until December to give rank and file more time to consider whether they want to keep the same leaders, i.e. Nancy Pelosi, who presided over a last week's bloodbath.

Reps. Peter DeFazio of Oregon and Marcy Kaptur of Ohio wrote that Democrats would be wise to "spend more time to understand these historic losses" before rushing to reinstall the same leadership team.

Pelosi moved quickly to consolidate her grip on power last week by announcing she would not step down but run instead as minority leader to preserve her accomplishments in health care and financial regulation from GOP attack. Bloodied but surviving conservative Democrats raised an outcry, but liberals, especially Pelosi's base in the Bay Area, rallied around her.

The DeFazio/Kaptur challenge is now coming from the liberal side; they don't mention names, but share the Blue Dog concern that leaders are misreading the election losses -- for a midterm election specifically, you have to go back to 1938 to find losses this big, and they came from independent voters -- as merely a frustration with the economy that has nothing to do with any policy choices. President Obama is reading the election the same way as Pelosi.

They wrote: "Following the loss of our majority, we should fully understand the causes of our historic losses before we begin the process of rebuilding. If we do not to learn from our losses we will remain in the minority until we do learn."

Didn't the Nazis maneuver for succession even when the Reich consisted of Berlin and its suburbs?

These crazy socialists just don't stop until they are hit over the hit ,literally or figuratively.

Sister Marcy Kaptur is an old (non-ACORN) Alinsky buddy of mine from Chicago. She’s probably thinking in the Alinsky community organizing mode. But of course, there are many divergent styles that sprung from Alinsky.

These disaffected democrats (sanity restored) should get together with Republicans to simply not give Peloxi a quorum for the lame duck session.

It takes 218 to tango, right? How many no-shows for a real "who called this meeting?" moment for the foaming-at-the-mouth witch-bitch?

“Marcy Kaptur of Ohio wrote that Democrats would be wise to “spend more time to understand these historic losses”

I find it funny that these “Highly Educated Liberals” lack so much common sense. You could beat the message into these people, and they still wouldn’t get it.

1. The 'liberal wing' wants Pelosi as leader.

2. They also need the support of the lame ducks to pass their lame duck agenda.

3. The lame ducks don't want to reward Pelosi for getting them fired.

Solution: Delay the elections!

I am listening to Ed Schultz right now saying the Dems in congress should continue to ram through their liberal agenda in the lame duck session because they might not get another chance for a very long time.
