Here’s my plan.

- Eliminate all earmarks.

- Eliminate the department of energy, education and housing and urban development, and the department of homeland
security

- Eliminate all duplicate programs

- Eliminate estate taxes, capital gains taxes and AMT.

- Raise the age of retirement to 70 and allow people to opt out of SS.

- Decertify all unions and make them illegal under the RICO act.

- Enact a balanced budget amendment

- Stop all foreign aid.

Great ideas. Toss in the elimination of the global tax, get out of the UN, stop the greenie movement and burn more clean coal, drill, build refineries, remove all the absurd govt regulations from big corporations and businesses, stop all immigration both legal and illegal and stop giving money to countries that detest us such as Yemen. Reinstate LEGAL immigration to our country AFTER our economy is solvent which could be a long time

- Raise the age of retirement to 70 and allow people to opt out of SS.

The issue not the age of retirement. Some retire at 55 or sooner on their own. The issue for SS, is the funds being ransacked to be spent on other pet projects of congress.

Congress stole the money from the fund to use it elsewhere.

Had congress left the money alone, allowing it to grow, there would be plenty, for folks who actually paid in to the fund, to retire at 60. But no no no. Congress stole it for welfare, aid to dependent children (millions upon millions of them), food stamps (aceptamos cupones de alimentos), medicaid, section 8 housing, etc etc.

Congress needs to pay this money back. No cuts in SS for those who busted their arses, actually paying into the fund. No extension til 67-69-70.

You must be young. When you get close to 60, you'll understand.

I'll give you an example. My grandfather worked in a cotton mill 45 years. Age 13 to age 58. Same spinning room, doing the same job all those years. When he was cut/fired at age 58, no retirement, no benefits, all because he couldn't do it as fast as a young person any more, he was worn out. Then he had to wait to age 62 to get his SS he had paid into. So in the interim, he took a job as a school crossing guard. That was all he could find. And now, you would have a man like him wait til 70 to receive his due that he had paid into?

Congress must find a way to return the money it stole from the fund. Not reduce the promised benefit, nor extend the years.

In addition term limits for any elected critter to be limited to only 2 terms of 4 years max.

In addition limit the house and senate to only two sessions per year, two weeks in the spring and two weeks in the fall. We do not need full time blood suckers.

No pay and no retirement nor any kind of special treatment!
