The video I saw contained artifacts that could be “interpreted” as sparks.
I’ve gotta be frank here: I was buying that this was a missile at first, before I saw the video. Then I saw the video.
It’s a stinkin’ airplane contrail. I even watched it over and over to see if I was missing something. The more I looked at details, the more evidence there was that it is an airplane in level flight. I say this as someone who has been fascinated with contrails his whole life.
Heck, I remember the contrails left by B-36’s when I was a kid. I’ve photographed them myself on many occasions.
This is clearly an airplane contrail. The ONLY thing that puzzles me about this is why someone in an official capacity would claim that there was a water launch 35 miles off shore. They are full of excrement.
Dogs don’t talk. So why would you follow his instructions without finding out more about this “talking dog”?
It’s a common contrail. The object is traveling toward you, not away from you, and since the contrail has a long persistence, it looks like it emanates from the horizon, thus the illusion that it is a missile traveling away from you.
Seems pretty clear to me.
So what's the explanation?

Some of us can distinguish the difference between a source being the Soviet Propaganda Ministry and a source being some inconsequential flunky who likes to take pictures of contrails. The credibility of the former is automatically suspect, while the credibility of the latter is based on the merits of his evidence on its face.
Evidence is indeed evidence.
