Americans can do whatever they decide to do. Witness the politiscape littered with the careers of Democrats deposed by determined Americans who have had enough big-government socialism forced upon them. The next challenge for the tea party and other organizations is local and state governments that are systematically implementing freedom-robbing policies in the name of comprehensive planning, smart growth, sustainable development and environmental protection. If the word "freedom" is to have any meaning at all, it must mean that people are free to live wherever they choose, and free to use their property as they choose.

The tea party needs to remember the “And justice for all” part of the pledge, and embark on an effort to bring the criminals who destroyed this country to justice. The Tea Party is not a political party but an creeping awareness. As people become affected by the massive government personally they become curious. Curiosity is killing the communists.
I’ve stopped saying the Pledge, when i learned it was originally written by a socialist, and it became apparent that the term “indivisible” was antithetical to the American revolution.
Not saying that we aut not to seek liberty and justice for all, I’m just not comfortable with the Pledge of Allegiance anymore.
Urban planning does have some limited uses, but your right when taken to the extreme it robs people of their basic rights.
But in general a large urban area, does need to deal with issues related to urban sprawl such as the heat island, replenishment of the water supply(concrete is not good for letting water back into the aquifer), and perhaps urban planning might also be useful in mitigating the need for excessive amounts of rules in a congested areas. In other-words help reduce the effects that make city dwellers more likely to vote for liberal statist.
By simply building in a way that limits the possibility of people interfering with each other. Buffer zones, sound barriers, funneling, ect...
