Axelrod Denies Obama Would Concede Tax Cuts
National Journal ^ | 11 Nov 2010 | Katy O'Donnell

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod said this morning that President Obama has not caved to GOP demands on the extension of the Bush tax cuts, despite a report to the contrary.

“We're willing to discuss how we move forward,” Axelrod said in an e-mail to National Journal rebutting the Huffington Post story, “but we believe that it's imperative to extend the tax cuts for the middle class, and don't believe we can afford a permanent extension of tax cuts for the wealthy.”

The Huffington Post reported this morning that Axelrod suggested that “the administration is ready to accept and across-the-board continuation of steep Bush-era tax cuts, including those for the wealthiest taxpayers.”

In the article, Axelrod is quoted as saying, “We have to deal with the world as we find it . . .”

But what if you happen to be "wealthy", yet earn a middle-class income?

Poor HUffies and DUmmies. First it was their heads exploding because of Olbermann getting canned then finding out it was for only two day, and now Axelrod coming out and changing his story on this.

Xanax sales must be skyrocketing this week...

If The Imam doesn’t extend the tax cuts to everyone and he vetoes the DeathCare repeal, he will DESTROY the few shreds that are left of the RAT party. The Imam is TOAST and too arrogant to smell his defeat coming in 2012. The RATs are floating in their own toilet that was flushed starting November 2nd, 2010. The rest of the RATs and RINOs are swirling and trying to cling to the bowl. We The People will be scrubbing the bowl clean in 2012.

I would like to see a “mostly” across the board continuation of the Bush Tax Cuts with the exception of those for the liberal douches who claim the rich don’t pay enough. Please insert a special line in the 1040 for those taxpayers to be given a special extra tax so they can feel good about giving more so those who don’t have as much can live at an increased level. Also a line for the liberals to donate extra cash toward health care for the poor.

Yep. And I get the sense that they’re basically ignoring most of the proposals of their own hand-picked deficit panel, at the same time.

So the Huff Post printed direct quotations from Axelrod that he says he didn't say. He's directly calling the Huff Post liars.

Hey Zsa-Zsa, are you gonna take that, dahlink?

"But what if you happen to be "wealthy", yet earn a middle-class income?"

We need to have a 'rat wealth tax. Anyone registered as a 'rat or a known member of the Party should have their assets (not net assets) taxed at 50% per annum. It's for the children and as an example to the rest of us of the belief in the wisdom of gov't spending.

Axelrod,MO,BO,VJ are all such hacks in it for themselves and they're politics and nothing else.

NO SPINE, no backbone, no convictions (to anything but global communism) definitely no honor.

Perfect.

Give the 'rats the opportunity to lead the way on showing how patriotic they are by how much they give to the gov't. Let the US gov't publish their largess to encourage greater participation.

After all the gov't knows better than ANY citizen how best to spend money.

Put it on his desk and make him veto it. I predict that Mr. ‘always votes present’ will not be able to veto a popular tax cut.

Exactly, then their dedication to the poor could be shown when they make their 1040 public during campaigns.

I believe we have already shown Conservative candidates usually give a higher percentage of their income to charity than liberals. This is an easy way for liberals to put their money where their big fat lying mouths are.

Joe Biden gave an average of $369 to charity for the 10 year period of 2000-09. The highest amount given was $995, and that was last year. It amounted to 0.3% of their total income of $319,853. The lowest amount Biden has given is $120, and he did that back in 1999. That was only 0.1% of his income that year. 0.1%. I realize charity is voluntary but for a liberal like Biden, that's pretty disturbing. How many children died because Biden wanted to pocket his cash? Hah. Over the entire decade of income, he only gave 0.2% to charity.

To put this into perspective, the average American gives 2% of their adjusted gross income to charity, so Biden has been giving 1-10th as much as the average American over the past decade, while he's made at least 4x the average American household in salary over that time period.
