So let me get this straight - poor kids in America are overweight and it is war against the Happy Meal because it has French Fries.

So we’re gonna’ feed the kids more?

Whatever happened to the former child nutrition programs? I believe they were called “parents”.

Lord only knows what sinister power grabs are hidden in the umpteen-hundred pages of this “child nutrition” bill.

I suppose this is the one that calls for government-run groceries in “food deserts”?

We’re going to let the government mandate what we feed our children in the same way we let the government mandate that we put ethanol in our cars and mercury-filled lightbulbs in our houses?

No thanks.

Under the liberal doctrine, The State is the parent.

So basically “Food Stamps” are now called “SNAP”

According to SNAP-You can own your own home, have 2 kids, have $2,000 in the bank, make $28k a year...and they will feed your family for free.

Only in Amerika...

I clicked thru the SNAP website and found my local steamed crab joint is a participant. I can not afford to buy crabs there because they are so overpriced. Nice to see others can get them free thanks to my tax dollars.

Why in the world are we going to be funding a new program? I thought we were so deep in debt that senior citizens are going to have to take a cut in their monthly Social Security and homeowners will lose their home deduction.

Does this include the 25 yr old ‘children’ who qualify for the parent’s healthcare?

Probably. Limits the kind of chips they can have with their alcoholic energy drinks... gotta have carrots instead.
