"The Justice Department originally brought the case against four armed men who witnesses say derided voters with catcalls of "white devil" and "cracker" and told voters they should prepare to be "ruled by the black man." ..."

One poll watcher called police after he reportedly saw one of the men brandishing a nightstick to threaten voters.

As I walked up, they closed ranks, next to each other,” the witness told Fox News at the time. “So I walked directly in between them, went inside and found the poll watchers. They said they’d been here for about an hour. And they told us not to come outside because a black man is going to win this election no matter what.”

He said the man with a nightstick told him, “’We’re tired of white supremacy,’ and he starts tapping the nightstick in his hand. At which point I said, ‘OK, we’re not going to get in a fistfight right here,’ and I called the police.”...”

Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology."

SEAN HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"

WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.

HANNITY: But I'm a — reverend

WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

“Although it [The New Black Panther Party] says it sees capitalism as the fundamental problem with the world and “revolution” as the solution, the new party does not draw its influences from Marxism or Maoism as the original party did. Instead, in a carefully-worded, roundabout form of ethnic nationalism,[8] they say that Marx based his ideology and teachings on indigenous African cultures, and that the NBPP therefore need not look to Marxism or Maoism as a basis for their program, but can look to ideologies that stem directly from those African origins.”

This is one of the top issues on Darrell Issa’s agenda. He has stated so on some interviews before the election.

There is no need for a trial because there already was essentially one. They did not answer to the subpoena and were convicted. The only thing left to do in the case was to sentence them, then Holder’s crew stepped in.

Not much substance to the article.

Can’t really bash my liberal friends with this. It would be like using a twig.

what do you expect from the most corrupt bastardize pissant in the world to do. The entire Odumbo administration is corrupt. A third world dictatorship is what he is like. The US Treasury is an ATM for him, roll up to the screen type in the password, and receive more and more cash. Unfortunately there is no more money, so it is printed and printed, suddenly food prices begin to rise and the people wake up to the realization something is not right. Holder, Odumbo, Clintons, Axelrod (I call him Ass hat), Gibbs, and et al are all culpuble. Get ready the new year is going to be bumpy - the trials will begin in earnest. America may enter some dark days, but We The People will rise above it and the stain of Odumbo will fade slowly in America. The founders were right in what they did. Oddly enough why did Odumbo chose Columbia University - Columbia University was the iconic university of the Progressive movement until 1958, when its Progessive Document as Written by Charles Beard was debunked as erroneous, An Economic Interpretation of The Constitution. Read many books by Forrest McDonald whom is part of a conservative thought library series,50 books.

Ouch!

It is now obvious to me why the Obama administration continues to be so secretive regarding the DOJ’s New Black Panther Party decision. These documents show that not only was the New Black Panther Party decision shamelessly politicized by the Obama administration but also that Obama officials lied to cover up the scandal. These documents raise more questions about Attorney General Holder’s involvement as well.

Over $2m for Air Pelosi ...

Judicial Watch also uncovered documents indicating that the Defense Department was colluding with Members of Congress and staff, including Speaker Pelosi, in responding to military travel FOIA requests filed by JW and other organizations. In one case, a Defense Department official sent a CD with all of the “Pelosi related travel docs” to the Speaker’s office before releasing them to the public. Why were congressional offices getting the chance to preview documents before they were released to the American people? We’re still waiting for an answer.

Unfortunately, the Congress has no power to prosecute, except impeachment. They investigate and turn their results over the the appropriate Executive Branch office for prosecution. So, what happens? They take the Holder case to him and say, you should consider prosecuting this case. Answer, in my next life.

That is how I understand the system works, or doesn’t.

Found more here prnewswire.com

Here's an (long) excerpt:

The new documents include a series of emails between two political appointees: former Democratic election lawyer and current Deputy Associate Attorney General Sam Hirsch and Associate Attorney General Thomas Perrelli. Both DOJ officials were involved in detailed discussions regarding the NBPP decision. For example, in one April 30, 2009, email from Hirsch to Perrelli, with the subject title "Fw: New Black Panther Party Update," Hirsch writes:

Tom,

I need to discuss this with you tomorrow morning. I'll send you another email on this shortly.

If you want to discuss it this evening, please let me know which number to call and when.

Acting DAAG [Steven Rosenbaum] advising his supervising Acting AAG [Loretta King] of DASG's [Hirsch's] request for a memorandum by the Acting DAAG reviewing various options, legal strategies, and different proposals of relief as related to each separate defendant. Acting DAAG forwarding emails from Appellate

Section Chief's and Appellate Attorney's with their detailed legal analyses including the application of constitutional provisions and judicial precedent to strategies and relief under consideration in the ongoing NBPP litigation, as well as an assessment of the strength of potential legal arguments, and presenting different possible scenarios in the litigation.

In fact, political appointee Sam Hirsch sent an April 30, 2009, email to Steven Rosenbaum (then-Acting Assistant Deputy Attorney General in the Civil Rights) thanking Rosenbaum for "doing everything you're doing to make sure that this case is properly resolved." The next day, the DOJ began to reverse course on its NBPP voter intimidation lawsuit.

Makes good sense why the Republicans issued the call to the whitehouse to not destroy information. I see more scandel info coming forth...expect to be even more in the news as they get their hands on it. Not to mention the twisting of facts opposing networks will certainly cook up.
