I respect you very much. But I think any good officer in a battle will choose the order and the field of battle. And arrive there at any means at his disposal. And rip out his enemies heart and leave it bleeding on the ground. But a good field general picks his battles in order to win the war. Are you familiar with The Charge of the Light Brigade?

The first amendment protects the people against a Federal establishment of religion and activity against religion.

So, it is perfectly fine for an organization to demand the govenerment stay out of asserting and funding social beleif structures of any one group upon the whole nation. That includes humanists. The government should stay out of funding any of it. The people are free to advocate their ideas in the states and communities.

Exactly. The social agenda will completely destroy the tea party.

Stick with what is most urgent and pressing - fiscal issues, liberty, and stoppoing the growth of the govt.

To start now with the social stuff would completely reverse everything accomplished so far.

Roe is far more than a "social issue".

A judge that understands that Roe must be overturned is a judge that is not going to give your home to a drug company or tell a cop that he can't ask a lawbreaker for ID or tell an illegal he has a right to in-state tuition.

More familiar than most. But Scipio Africanus is my mentor. Followed by a few others and sun-tzu.

No, I prefer Ronald Reagan’s three pronged approach: Strong defence, strong economy and strong social values. And his straight forward winning strategy: We win, they lose.

Don’t back down!

It seems the liberfarians are attempting to hijack the TEA Party in a concerted effort. Don’t buy the pervert pandering. It is not what the Tea Party is about.

Again, you CANNOT seperate morality from government, no matter what level of government you choose. WE are moral creatures.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I absolutely agree! I would like to add one more thing.

We can not separate morality and religion from education either! EVERY ( Yes! **ALL**) collectivist government school in this nation is godless in its religious worldview. EVERY ( Yes, **ALL**) collectivist government school in this nation teaches children to think godlessly and **establishes** the religious philosophy of godless secular humanism.

Geeze! And we wonder why our nation is in the pits.

Every collectivist government school in this nation should be padlocked tomorrow. **ALL** of them are a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination.

Yes, I am shouting, jumping up and down and having a fit! Why is it that so few conservatives understand this?

Until you win the hearts of the majority of Americans, you will not win on social (or morality) issues. There is work to do at the grassroots level. In churches and in school board and PTA meetings, and in your neighborhood.

If you press for laws governing moral issues at this juncture, you will lose. I am convinced based on voting results that more than half of the country has been persuaded that homosexuals should have special protection and rights, and that no laws against abortion should be passed (despite the fact that most people think abortion is wrong). If you press on these issues from the top down, you will lose. If you lose, the economy also loses.

There is a powerful coalition at this time: The Tea Party movement. Some of the Tea Partiers are sympathetic to your views on morality, and some are not. We can win the battle on economic issues from the top down, because this coalition gives us a majority on this issue. Let’s win the battle that we can win.

And let’s work at the grassroots level to change hearts and minds on the morality issues. Unfortunately, the country has gone too far to the leftist/libertarian side on morals to win a top-down battle on morality.

The folks who say that social issues are not a federal issue forget that the USSC has made rulings on them at the federal level. These issues are federal at least until the relevant Supreme Court decisions have been reversed.

I’m not suggesting backing down. We share the same goals. This election was about drawing the lines of battle. Ousting RINOs and calling out “moderates”. I donated money to O Donnell knowing she would lose so the Bearded Marxist will OWN his failed philosophy. Just like the 1840s, the lines are being drawn. The battle has not started in earnest yet. I appreciate your spirit among many things, but I’d rather not have a platoon charge a brigade. I believe this entire mess is a result of decaying Judeo Christian beliefs. Sometimes you have to peel away the flanks. And the more troops I have to help me win this particular battle the better. We will write the rules after we win the battle. My 2 cents. I wouldn’t spend the time making my point if you were not someone I greatly admire.

The tea party, or any decent organization, should distance itself from perverts including homos, pedos, beastophiles and the rest. Why include those that would pander to the sexual deviants, predators and offenders?

We inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy in this battle and won big time in the battle for the House and state governments. Do not change what works! We’re going to wipe them out on ALL fronts in 2012!! We the people are pissed and Obama and his wannabe totalitarians are history!!

Rebellion is brewing!!

Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way!!

Most conservatives understand the social issues are paramount—even some who might be personally liberal or libertarian on a few matters. Even an atheist is better off living in a Christian nation than any other.

The homosexual agenda is a close ally of the left. The left uses it to degrade and destroy the family and moral fabric. And beyond disgusting, the homosexual threat to public health (ie all of us) is staggering in terms of what it has cost the taxpayers footing the bill to address diseases which were heretofore seen at a neglible level. I have posted the list of diseases vectored (ie spread) by male homosexuals, the #1 vector for the spread of human infectious diseases and the breeding of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
