And, even with those numbers here in Tampa I still don't get any sense of being under siege.
I think a person traveling should be very careful where ever they visit these days, however.

While I was born (1944) and raised in Memphis, I have not been in the USSA since Jan. 2005.
That being said, Memphis WAS a fine city, rated as quietest and cleanest in the country. My father was a Main Street merchant.
Memphis HAD a very fine utility district, light, gas, and water, under one roof.
In the last ten years, however, Memphis went from 40/60 black/ white, to 60/40.
It has been a disaster, and Memphis is now number one in murders, alone. I could go on, but it is too sickening to think about.
Most of the whites have fled to the county, or the outlying
towns.
I can say that for Memphis, it is all GONE WITH THE WIND.
