Yes, you have found the likely source of the internet rumor.

CAIR (a terrorist support organization if you ask me) put out a release telling Muslims what the CAIR interpretation of the TSA rules are. In my mind they are inciting Muslims to civil disobedience. The only problem (as in much of what CAIR says) is it is not true.

The rules are very clear that folks in religious garb are subject to full pat down.

This is the current practice, which I observe why I fly.

Neither Obama, the TSA, or any other federal entity has exempted Muslims from any screening procedure.

CAIR is simply trying to stir things up (which is what they do) in keeping with the terrorist Muslim scum that they are.
