Fearing ugly exit, GOP officials trying to quietly remove Steele(Why? We will not get the blacks)

They fear that alienating Steele could cause headaches for the party’s attempt to win back the White House in 2012.

Republican leaders have started to clamor for change atop the RNC while acknowledging that if Steele wages a tough fight for a second term as chairman, it could evolve into a politically messy spectacle.

“There’s widespread concern about the appearance of dumping the chairman of the RNC for the wrong reasons — particularly the first African-American chairman of the RNC when we have the first African-American president,” said former Rep. Vin Weber (R-Minn.).

Weber added, “In politics, perception is everything.”

Steele has not declared he will seek a second term at the RNC, but he has not ruled it out. The former Maryland lieutenant governor has been vocal since the Nov. 2 elections in promoting the RNC’s role in delivering Republican victories this fall, triggering speculation he will mount a bid.

10-4 on that, Steele has only been following orders, he isn't any worse than quite a few so called republican leaders.

If he is to be replaced it must be with a real fire in the belly Republican.

"Then the new (RNC) overseers should turn to people like Grover Norquist.......to put it (the RNC) back together"

Are you referring to Grover Norquist, the D.C. insider married to Muslim D.C. insider, Samah Alrayyes, who has solid radical Islam credentials? The same Norquist who refuses to answer questions if he has converted to Islam?

The same Grover Norquist whom Paul Sperry refers to as "an agent of influence for Islamists in Washington"?

The same Grover Norquist who for many years has promoted and who speaks before CAIR, the aggressive Islamist lobbying organization based in D.C.?

This man should be one of the re-builders of the Republican Party??????

I think not.

Steele isn’t the problem. It’s the RINO club that the RNC has become that is the problem.

Steele is part of that RINO club and thus is part of the problem.

It is time to find out if Mr. Steele is a Republican or and African-American.
