I’d like to know too...what kind of antenna?

We ditched our cable and are only on airwaves now as well—we’re right outside of Philly but our reception is not that great. When I was a kid I used to be able to pull in a couple of NYC channels.

I've worked in the off-air antenna biz for over 20 years. the company I work for (these guys) carries everything you need, and I can help walk you through it.

You should be able to get high quality reception off the air. Most HDTV stations are broadcasting on UHF frequencies.

You might have to turn your antenna to the stations direction. see antennaweb.org for good information

antennaweb You should be able to get many stations with an indoor antenna. Also old TVs with a new converter work just fine off the air with a UHF antenna.
