Not likely at this time of year. They have already migrated south. I wish the article gave the last known altitude. That would tell us a lot.

What about a bird strike?That actually happened to a friend of mine. Video here. He and the other pilot he was with (it was a training flight) ejected, which he says is "Not fun. At all."
