If you haven’t been keeping up, a Democratic institution in Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., has been investigated by the House Ethics Committee. This has been an ongoing saga for several months, but finally the normally secretive Ethics committee is convening publicly over the Rangel matter.
Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Ala., the ranking member of the committee and likely to be the chairman of this committee when the new Congress is sworn in, offered a harsh critique of Rangel, for his use rent-controlled apartments and evasion of taxes, despite being in charge of writing tax code.

Charlie Rangel is just following in the footsteps of Adam Clayton Powell Jr.
Apparently, Liberals in Congress and this Regime have Elitist immunity for corruption committed against We The People like the UN Diplomatic Immunity extended to questionable personnel from dictatorships around the world. Anyone know which illegal activities are covered by this Liberal Elitist immunity?

They didn’t bat an eye kicking Jim Traficant out, and Beam Me Up did less than half as much as Charlie the Tuna!
He may as well rob a bank while he's at it. Maybe kill a few folks. No sweat ...
Traficant was a pain in the butt to the Democrats, so they didn't protect him. They wanted him gone so much that when Ohio lost a house seat after the 2000 census and the Republicans were in charge of redistricting the Democrats volunteered to have Traficant's district dissolved.
I still haven't figured out why Rangel isn't going to prison for tax evasion and fraud for getting his stack of rent controlled apartments? Those are real crimes instead of merely breaking a few House ethics rules.
Even if they kicked Rangel out you know his constituents would just elect an equally unethical Dem to fill his spot.
Great to see Rep. Jo Bonner tell it like it is. From the look on Charlie’s face he didn’t like it but I’m sure Charlie has forgotten it already.
Charlie is a Democrat.

When Republicans ran the administration they weren't willing to pay an inordinate political price to get rid of Rangel... so he stayed-on then, too.
Face it. There are separate rules for Liberals & Conservatives. And if you are a liberal from a minority group, well then the Sky is the Limit!

Hey Charlie remember the theme song from that old TV show starring Robert Blake ? The one where he was a cop ? Beretta was the name of the show I believe. It went something like this.....” Don’t roll the dice if you can’t pay the price.....don’t do it “........” don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time......don’t do it “. You helped write the tax laws that you broke....and you want mercy ? And don’t use your military service either as a plea for mercy. You cheapen that service for all who have / are serving. The IRS would have jammed it to Audie L Murphy himself if he cheated on his taxes. Remember what they always told us in the Army Charlie ? Lead by example......not a very good example are you Charlie ?
