Maybe the bums will go get a job now.

I agree to a point because over the decades, everyone we all ever knew who was collecting miraculously seemed to find a job a week before the benefits and federal extensions ran out.

I was out of work during the Carter Recession, and did in fact find a job. At a gas station.

This time around though, "Get a job" doesn't work, if there aren't any..It's not like we can pick fruit or mow lawns, because THOSE jobs are all taken.

True. Today's joblessness has more to do with skills obsolescence than lack of job opportunities. Large numbers of “workers” don't have the skills necessary to function in the digital economy. It ain't coming back for them...

Every time I walk into Lowes there is a huge sign about 5 feet by 6 feet saying they are hiring. There are plenty of jobs, just not the big pay little work jobs that people prefer.
