Fox News CEO Ailes: NPR Execs Have 'Nazi' Attitude
NPR ^ | 11/18/10 | David Folkenflik

In a letter Thursday to a top official of the Anti-Defamation League, Ailes apologized. He said he should have instead said "nasty inflexible bigot."

<---> snip <--->

Both NPR and Fox News say Ailes has not apologized to NPR executives for calling them Nazis.

I chose this particular article because it was the clearest in explaining the "apology".

The headlines all make it seem like Ailes actually apologized to NPR, which NPR makes clear did not happen. He is apologizing to the ADL for the use of the word "nazi" only.

RE: "apology" for Nazi remark.

NPR's fat wad against the American free press

I think NPR has more of an Islamist (political Islam, Sharia Law advocates') attitude.

Yes, ADL thinks folks debase the infamy of the term "Nazi" through inappropriate or casual use.

Still, I've got my questions about NPR ~ they definitely have the stench of the ovens about them ~ they could easily be a latter day "front group".

“nasty inflexible bigots” is not NPR’s idea of an apology, I guess.

Ailes calls it right on the money.

I keep hearing Libs, say itsonly 2% of their budget, we see how hard they cry next year when they get no taxpayer funds.

Well the ADL can say whatever they like but the term was more accurate then Ailes apparently knew.

NPR is pro government control of business, pro socialist, pro-police state (anti 2nd amendment), pro-"alternate spirtuality" while displaying open hatred of Christianity and Judaism, pro-vegetarianism, and anti-smoking...

They could be Hitler's and Leni Riefenstahl's love child.

Its a franchise/copyright issue. ADL thinks they own the franchise/copyright on the use of the word nazi.

If it’s only 2% of their budget, what are the libs whining about? In the real world, 2% is within the margin of error for hitting your budget target.

Hitler was a Nazi.

Expecting the ADL to issue a statement against that at any moment.........

He apologized to the ADL? My respect for him just dropped a notch. Will he next ask Al Sharpton for absolution?

He apologized to the ADL for using the word Nazi. He thought that “nasty inflexible bigot” would have been more appropriate. Roger gets extra mileage out of the Nazi metaphor with his ADL apology. No apology to NPR, however, for anything.

I'm not sure about the % that NPR gets, but PBS {public broadcasting system} which gives money to NPR has a federal budget of $500,000,000 that's half a billion and that's not chump change.

Kill the half billion and watch the screaming.

Excellent choice of words, Roger.

Hit ‘em where it hurts!

And don’t back down!
