The body scanners385 of them now deployed at 68 airportshave raised privacy and radiation-exposure concerns. And the pat-downs, which started Nov. 1, have drawn fire from travel groups, lawmakers, civil-rights advocates, and pilot and flight-attendant unions.
The fear is that Thanksgiving travelersmany of them students, families and older people who fly once or twice a yearwill be unfamiliar with TSA procedures and slow to get through checkpoints. Full-body scanners require removal of wallets, belts, jewelry and everything inside pockets.
"With people getting partially molested at checkpoints, all that is going to be a real shock for them," said Greg Wells, senior vice president of operations at Southwest Airlines. "TSA will create an issue for us. It's going to slow things down."

I just back from a trip involving catching flights in the East Asia and Middle East and I was felt up several times by guys who seemed to enjoy their jobs far too much.It was creepy beyond words.
What if you can't get your rings off - automatic pat down or do they say "That's OK, never mind"?
With your screen name one would think you might be used to it by now...

I heard on the tv that this does not apply to Muslim women?
That can’t be true. Anyone else heard anything?

They’ll just have Gollum bite your finger off.
Every cable and network news organization should have live cameras at every airport for constant coverage.

BO has exempted muslim women from Full Pat Downs. They will only get the Pat Downs around their head and necks.
What would they do if EVERY woman who is flying came through security wearing a hijab? I don’t think they can ask us if we’re muslim or not. Wouldn’t it be unconstitutional to ask a hijab-wearing woman what their religion is?

Nappy wouldn't verbally commit one way or the other, however.....but there's no such exemption in place as of now, and I personally can't see such a thing happening - talk about political suicide.
You can be in denial about muslim women being exempted if you want, but don’t try to convince intelligent sane people of that BS.
Do you also believe that BS about BO being a “Christian?”
This is the first time I've seen a public comment by an airline official in one of these articles, and I'm kind of surprised at the unflattering language he uses.
Gotta love the way he kind of hedges a little bit by using the term "partially molested," though. WTF does it mean to get "partially molested?" LOL.

I guess that is sort of like BO being “partially muslim.” BO’s old elementary school “friends” called him “the boy who walks like a duck.”
IMHO, if you walk like one and talk like one, you are one.
Yes they are trying to get a dispensation so that just the face is checked..wonder when they will want people with bridges and false teeth to take those out as well and how about those with implants? The world has gone stark raving mad and unless we put a stop to it it will only get worse.
The jewelry bit..when you get an xray at the hospital you have to take anything metal off...guess it means now not taking anything other than a cheap watch..cuz TSA just might steal good jewelry..my sil just had a camera stolen out of his carryon bag at screening.
Nappy was on the radio today saying TSA is just doing their jobs and we need to make it easier for them to do their jobs, afterall, they are just protecting us. BARF! She sounds like a man....she did such a great job letting all the illegals pour into Arizona when she was in charge there....what could go wrong!
