GOProud 'never' a part of tea party
WorldNetDaily ^ | Nov. 20, 2010 | Brian Fitzpatrick

Posted on 11/20/2010 3:39:45 PM PST by DesertRenegade

Tea Party Nation founder and CEO Judson Phillips plans to set the GOP congressional leadership straight about the tea party's legislative demands, after a handful of Tea Party Patriots and a homosexual activist group, GOProud, released an open letter last Monday urging Republicans to ignore social issues.

This coming Monday, Phillips plans to release an open letter of his own urging the GOP to address several fiscal matters and at least three social issues, including the preservation of the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy banning open homosexuals in the military.

"There is a battle going on for the heart and soul of the tea-party movement," Phillips told WND. "GOProud has its own agenda. It wants to create credibility for itself by leveraging the tea-party movement, but GOProud has never been a part of the tea-party movement."

(...)

Phillips sent out an email Thursday morning soliciting signatures from Tea Party Nation leaders across the country for his letter, which calls on Congress to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation's leading abortion provider, and crack down on illegal immigration.

"The purpose of the email was to ask people if they'd be interested in signing a letter saying the GOProud letter doesn't speak for the mainstream of the tea party, and here's what the mainstream tea party really thinks," said Phillips.

(...)

"There's a part of the movement that wants to focus exclusively on fiscal issues, but at least half of the tea-party movement is made up of values voters," Phillips observed. "Ignoring these people is a recipe for disaster. If you want to win, you've got to have a pretty broad coalition. You need more than 50 percent. With the fiscal and social conservatives together, we win. If we start cutting our coalition up, we can't win."

I have always suspected the militant gay group, GOProud, was a Democrat plant organization whose purpose is to promote homosexuality. They seem to be following the exact agenda of their predecessor front group, Log Cabin, which was exposed as mainly funded by a rich Democrat homosexual.

If you go to the Facebook page of the Executive Director of GOProud, Jimmy LaSalvia, you will see some pretty vile stuff where they openly admit their main agenda is to push for homosexuality in the armed forces and sodomite marriage. People need to expose this group for pushing the same old leftist homosexual agenda as ACT-UP, GLAAD and all the rest.

Christopher Barron (GOProud Chairman): "We are a gay organization, we only work on gay issues, we have never claimed otherwise. My God people."

“There is a battle going on for the heart and soul of the tea-party movement,”

There sure is. At first they attempted to marginalize the TP by claiming it was nothing but an astroturf campaign with no staying power and no real impact inhabited by nothing more than a few discontented racists. That fabrication being exposed on 11-2, so now they’re attempting to infiltrate and subvert. We see it with Dick Armey and others in DC attempting to co-opt the incoming Congress. This is a part of the left’s strategy, if they can’t take you down or marginalize you they will then attempt to internally confuse, divide and subvert. Very predictable.

Actually DR, GOProud is an off-shoot of the Log Cabin Republicans. Christopher Barron was the former executive at LCR, and when he saw that the LCR was getting nowhere, he helped create this new organization.

Whoever in Congress who insists on pulling the same old RINO tricks will soon find themselves on the street. The Republican establishment fancies itself “arts & croissants” and “country club elite” complete with the checked golf britches and the Izod shirts. I’m sick of this rationalization about playing the same old RINO games that may as well come from leftists.

Ronald Reagan’s victorious platform was a three-legged stool -

1) strong defense
2) cutting taxes and regulations
3) conservative SOCIAL ISSUES.

We must resurrect that dynamic coalition.

I’ll ignore social issues when the Homosexuals and pro-abortionists do.

Any group whose main goal is to mandate open homosexuality in our armed forces is an enemy of Conservatives. They put their sexual lifestyle choice on a higher pedestal than the defense of our nation. That is disgraceful.
