Nobody. And you TOTALLY missed my point about what you were trying to argue. The point being that you willingly went to the airport and willingly took your child, *knowing*--as we all do now--about the possibility of these new "hands on" procedures of kids. So the choice has already been made by the parent to let it possibly happen to the child, and now you're just talking about the price the parent is willing to gamble against the child's groping.

And to anyone that for some reason had no idea that they'd touch their child or put them through a machine, up to as late as going through the security line and finding out/witnessing right beforehand and consequently turning back...the moment they'd touch my child I'd STOP them regardless of "price." I wouldn't say to the TSA molesters "Oh then go ahead and continue if it's going to cost me money." Talk about sick.

I am trying to understand what you asked. I don’t want to argue with you. This thread has been one of the most ridcoulous threads I have seen in a long time here. I am NOT a party to that. I don’t assume anything about you. I was trying to understand what you were asking. I say that liberals don’t read this site. You give question marks. I say that the audience that I am talking to is conservative. I ask you if you agree to that because of your question marks.

I am really just trying to understand you. But not in a mean way as we have seen on this thread.

Well glad you have the flexibility to do that—you are a better parent than all of us complaining that we don’t have options...you have the option skip travel, devote a week to roundtrip driving, or eat cost of airline tickets. Lucky you....You are a better parent than many, tho you are simply opting out rather than standing up and saying this is wrong.....allowing the TSA To USURP our rights......You made a lot of assumptions...

As I tried to exlain, it is not always convenience..There is safety—driving across snow covered mountains on a 2,000+ mile trip in December...hope for good weather, dependable traqnsportaqtion, money—some of us simply don’t have the resources to eat previously purchased tickets then plan same trip driving which requires several days of hotels and meals...glad you don’t have to work or can take an extra week off for driving...

We had a family funeral last year and son could not find a flight so sadly he had to miss it; only way daughter could attend grandmother’s funeral was to fly...uh oh, bad parent...

So where do you draw the line?

Do I tell my daughter she cannot travel with her team to train this Christmas? Do I drive her myself? I just eat the cost of the ticket and have to find 6 days to drive her there and back....my budget is not that flexible at Christmas....So I am bad parent? I don’t think so.

How about we end the corruption NOW. This needs to be stopped. No more scanners should be purchased and I am calling House Reps to call for defunding them....What are you doing besides opting out.

BTW, my children are adults, so I am not putting my children up to anything....but i am still concerned about their privacy rights....I don’t think any parent whose children are flying at ANY age thinks they are putting their children out there as gropable and expendable if their kids have to fly—they are not offering up their children...

FINALLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: Conservatives did build TSA. Or at least some conservatives did. If you don’t like the TSA, you should join me in trying to drive out Conservatives that did build the TSA. But you are fevered and not seeing that I am trying to purge conservatism of people who would build the TSA. GET IT?

Then we are doing the same thing. But my point is that this battle begins with semantics. Those we are speaking of are not conservatives in any real sense. What are they conserving? The state? The first thing to do to purge these people out of the conservative movement is to not consider them conservatives. They're not.

That said, even though I agree with your goal I think you are fighting the battle at the wrong time. What is your purpose in coming on to a thread like this one and saying "aha, this is bad, but conservatives started it! SEE? SEE? I told you so! I knew this all along! Everyone look at me!" Good for you. Most people here agree that this type of government power is not appropriate, and many complained long ago about it. All of that is entirely irrelevant. The fact is, we have a tyrant in office in the present. We have a bureaucracy far overreaching its mandate in the present.

If you want to win for the conservative cause then why don't you begin by denouncing the current tyrants and doing everything in your power to ensure that 1) free elections are still held a few years from now and 2) that conservatives win those elections. Then, and only then, once we actually have an incoming conservative administration (or at least once primary season starts and we're having to decide who to nominate for such a position), you can stand up and show your powerpoint presentations or whatever your thing is, and we can all be overawed about how much of a genius you are in foreseeing this all occurring years ago. You can warn us all with irrefutable evidence that we shouldn't repeat this mistake again, etc. etc. We'll all clap for you.

In the meantime, give it a rest and fight the battle at hand instead of fighting this pointless historical battle to try to come off as intelligent (and only succeeding in coming off smug). You need to learn about timing.

You are so right. This whole thing has me so teed off--sorry I came on so strong. I apologize. This TSA groping is WAY over the line by any reasonable measure. I think that if we take a stand against it and refuse to be publicly groped...to allow our kids to be publicly groped...it's the reasonable basic response to such a gross travesty of basic human dignity. These TSA thugs, ObaMAO, and Nazipolitano are betting on the American public to just shut up and take our gropes and naked imaging. The ONLY thing they understand is for us to refuse. So we have to. *I* choose to refuse. The Airlines and Congress need to step in...and all they understand is the power of money, and the consequences of the public's refusal to comply. Starve the beast.

Sorry I came on so strong. I just think that fondling kids crosses an uncrossable basic, clear line. No gray zone of acceptance or rationalization.
