OBAMA BASHED/PALIN ELEVATED: 2nd Time in 2 Weeks in Prime Time Japan TV Specials (My Translation)
a) Hidaka Report, b) "Manaberu News" (News You Can Learn Something From) ^ | 22 November 2010 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 11/21/2010 6:54:47 PM PST by AmericanInTokyo

For the second time in two weeks, Japanese TV viewers have received very fair, unfiltered and actually rather complementary TV coverage and background reports on Sarah Palin and a possible run for the presidency; in the same vein, Obama has been subjected to unprecedented scrutiny and negative reporting. One such report which aired yesterday here in Tokyo referred to the November Midterms Election as essentially a National Vote of No Confidence Against the Obama Administration. 「オバマ大統領に対しての不信任決議」

As I have been saying, the Japanese airport at Narita section where VIPs arrive through the clouded glass, would be SWAMPED 10 and 20 deep mostly with screeching, cheering Japanese women, if she were to fly over here for a speech and some high level meetings and some backhanded criticism of “The Messiah”. I am sure all the right backdoors to power would be opened to her, particularly through the Liberal Democratic Party and maybe even some factions within the ruling Democratic Party. Certainly Japanese business and US military bases here (of course, if DOD did not step in and put the kabosh on it)....

Thanks for posting these articles...they are very interesting, both culturally and as a window into what the rest of the world is thinking.

I belong to a fansub group (as a timer and encoder) which subs animes coming from Tokyo every week. After watching a number of “hentai” animes, it’s hard to say that LOL.

That’s nice but Japanese have no vote in 2012.

If your view were any narrower, you'd be blind.

It’s a complicated thing. They actually do revere family and tradition. The weird sexual diversions would appear to us to contradict that, but it’s regarded as sort of expected, an outlet I guess? We don’t think about these things the same way that they do. Hentai is misogynistic, even sadistic at times, very overt and startling. It’s fantasy entertainment for them, there is very little in the way of physically acting out in that manner that I’m aware.

that would be me, a sarahpac supporter since 2009. I dont think this news will be on the network news tomorrow night, or even the colbert report, and no, sarah palin is not overexposed.

Awesome news! It’s great to see some real hope that our international friends get what’s really going on here.

Man I’d love to learn some basic Japanese. It looks like a very cool language.

Obama's going the way of the WWII battleship Yamato; lots of fanfare only to be quickly sunk after a brief battle.

The reason is probably because her signature eyewear/eyeglasses are bought solely from an eyeframe company from Japan.
