Sarah Palin will be in several places tonight on television.
She will attend Dancing With the Stars on ABC, starting at 8 p.m., to see daughter Bristol dance. And former Gov. Palin has a taped interview with Sean Hannity on Hannity, starting at 9 on Fox News Channel. (A warning: Dancing is supposed to run till 9:11 p.m.)
The headline from Hannity: Palin wont be giving another interview to CBS Katie Couric.
About another Couric interview, Palin says: As for doing an interview, though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time? No.
Palin also weighs in on the state of journalism: I want to help clean up the state that is so sorry today of journalism. And I have a communications degree. I studied journalism, who, what, where, when, and why of reporting. I will speak to reporters who still understand that cornerstone of our democracy, that expectation that the public has for truth to be reported. And then we get to decide our own opinion based on the facts reported to us.

I never understood why Palin consented to be interviewed in the first place. I haven’t allowed the perky one to waste my time in way over a decade.
“... that other scullery hag Angrea Mitchell.”
Phrase, neatly turned!
Maybe Katie can interview Tina Fey and pretend like she’s interviewing Sarah.
And state-run media can pretend they are actual Palin quotes!
I wouldn't discount it. And, in fact, part of political genius is to listen to the right advisers once another part, figuring out who they are, has been accomplished. But at some point the candidate has to step forward on her, or his, own account.
Palin has been practicing politics at a very high level since the election, and I do not say that as a Palin supporter, it's simply an observable fact. What, after all, is the endorsement of a private citizen in state electoral contests across the country really worth? In her case, a great deal. Why should a single Facebook posting of a private citizen cause reverberations of squealing throughout a nationwide political opposition consisting of millions of people? In her case, it does. This isn't accidental.
And I will say that the breathless speculation over whether she may be running for President strikes me as a little silly. She is running, she's doing it in front of everyone's eyes, it's an ongoing process, an established fact, so well that she's the frontrunner at the moment without even declaring. That also I don't say as a Palin supporter, it's simply an observable fact. Certainly she has flaws. To her detractors I'll happily listen when they place forward a more credible candidate. But they'd better get about it - time isn't waiting for anyone.
Sarah should insist on a live interview, and ask commie Katie straight out if she’s been prepped by Obama’s political team.
I told my husband when we watched that awful interview that something terrible had happened just before between Couric and Sarah Palin. I thought Governor Palin looked extremely hurt during the whole interview. It must have been something terrible to cause Unsinkable Sarah to look that way after all the politics she’d lived through getting elected Governor.
(( HUG )).... here pull my finger..
Not much relation, but I heard the story about Anne Francis in “Funny Girl” She was so good that she made Streisand look like the tweep she is . They virtually cut Francis out of the picture, Although she retained a fairly high billing, she never got to show what she could do. Show business is a vicious racket and network news is show business where the editor is king.
Gibson has taken his money and run. I used to think he was a nice guy, but he has no character.
Amen to all that! Must say that I have been around a few politicians and she has more ease with the ordinary person than any I have ever seen. That’s because she IS an ordinary person. But there is nothing “average”about her. She’s got “it”like the great politicians , and the other great performers. But more than pizzaz. Her timing so far has been almost perfect and her choices right on.
Understanding a problem you have?
Couric was intensely coached and prepped for that last interview - probably was wearing an earwig with somebody coaching her remotely and more that likely was teleprompter assisted. “The Perky One” is a brain-dead liberal pawn. Yes, Sarah could easily mop the floor with her if the playing field is level. The network is flamingly lib, though and they will NOT allow a level field. They will also “edit” anything and everything in order to make Couric look less insipid.
Palin covers this in her book, Going Rogue. IIRC, her campaign manager, who came from the McCain staff, didn't like her very much and pulled several shenanigans during the campaign.
That would lead one to conclude that she'll be very selective about her staff if she decides to run in 2012.
