My girlfriend's parents live in China. Apparently they have a set date of when the government turns on furnaces/heaters for residential areas. It doesn't matter how cold it gets, you have to wait until that day or until the glorious regime decides to change that date.

My guess is, if they get constrained on coal, they'll just change that date, make it a little later, and let some people freeze until they can build up their infrastructure.

It's not like China cares much about people protesting. =/

Filed. Interesting. Is it a set up between world global manipulators with the Chinese to hasten yet more cost raising of basic fossil fuels in order for those that be to fatten their piggy banks or is it for real. Any more I don't assume these kinds of pronouncements are true in the absolute.
We shall see over time if the claims really do hold up or not.
