I don’t think there’s much doubt that Angle blew a big lead, it’s as if the more people heard and saw of her, the less they liked her. I don’t know the details but this piece seems credible to me after what I’ve read and learned about how McCain’s campaign staff royally screwed up his campaign (and Sarah Palins).

These are political operatives, not gods. They live to fight another day for another candidate - just look at how long some of them hang around years after their last “success”. (Susan Estrich comes to mind...)
