My In-laws returned from their annual vacation in Mexico two weeks ago and said it was the easiest time they ever had getting through airport security. The scanning machines were not turned on, and there was no alternate pat down. Leads me to believe international flights from Mexico are pretty lax.

Flew home from Atlanta Friday night. Same thing. TSA at SeaTac said the machines there will be used early next year.
