I read on some site (Washington Insider, I believe) that this is pretty much Obama's modus operandi. When he was "discussing" the increase of manpower in Afghanistan as requested by Gen McChrystal, it was reported he arrived late, sat for 10 minutes saying almost nothing, looked at his watch and said he had to leave.

Nice to know he's dedicated to the job.

Yeah, there have been a number of stories that are completely consistent with this. He “drops by”, doesn’t really do anything, and then leaves.

The amazing thing is that this is completely consistent with what is widely rumored in the legal community about his tenure as the ostensible President of the Harvard Law Review 20 years ago. He was never around, would show up to put in his face time when there was a deadline looming, but there was some responsible managing editor who actually did all the work and got the publication out. Dude has NEVER worked an honest day’s labor in his life. Some things never change.

Running for president was much more fun than being president. Were it not for rubbing elbows with celebs at White House galas and incessant paid vacations he might resign.
