Vet, 77, Busted For Obama Death Threat ("shoot Zero for “what he has done to this country”)

NOVEMBER 24--A 77-year-old South Carolina man whose home was stocked with an arsenal of guns told Secret Service agents that he wanted to shoot Barack Obama “for what he has done to this country,” according to a criminal complaint charging him with threatening the president’s life.

Michael Bowden allegedly first spoke of killing Obama last week during a “routine check-up” at a Veterans Administration clinic in Spartanburg. Bowden, pictured in the mug shot at right, told a nurse that he “was thinking of traveling to Washington, DC, to shoot the President (Obama) because he is not doing enough to help African Americans,” according to an affidavit sworn by Agent Mark Booth.

In an interview last Wednesday with three federal investigators, Bowden acknowledged threatening Obama’s life at the VA facility.

In a sworn, written statement he noted that, “if I had the opportunity to put Obama against the wall and shoot him, I would.” Bowden added that if he could kill anyone, “I would kill, if possible, the President (Obama), for what he has done to this country.”

During a search of Bowden’s home, agents located three semi-automatic handguns and a semi-automatic rifle--all of which were “fully loaded, with rounds in the firing chamber--near his bed. In Bowden’s son’s bedroom, agents found 12 other guns, while a “loaded, short-barrel shotgun” was found near the home’s front door.

The jailed Bowden, who turns 78 on Friday, may soon be freed pending the completion of a psychiatric evaluation. One condition of his release will require Bowden to refrain from possessing a firearm.

Thought crime? I don't see any indication that he intended to remove the anti-American thug who is destroying our country, or that he was preparing to initiate violence against the socialist tyrant, just that he would like to do so. While I don't see a crime here, I personally disagree with this particular patriot. The problem isn't the pathetic dictator-wanna-be in our White House. The problem is the clueless and parasitic voters (living and dead) who thought we would be better off under this regime.

We need Obama to fail on his own merits for the full four years so that people can learn from the natural consequences of their terrible mistakes. Otherwise, they'll blame an assassin or blame the GOP for impeaching their pathetic excuse for a leftist antihero, vote in another communist/socialist, and we'll have to face the same problem again. The next socialist to seize power in America might be more capable than Obama, so we should take the time and allow voters to learn first-hand just how destructive the national socialist, soviet socialist, and all other socialist ideologies really are when applied to free people.

Partially correct. Threatening or implying a threat (veiled threat) against any person (principal) under protection from the USSS is a federal crime.

That would include:

TOTUS
Mooschelle
the first kids

Joe Biden
Line of succession Leaders (Pelosi, Hillary, etc.).
Their wives and immediate family
Former Presidents,
visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them,
other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States,
Other individuals as designated per Executive Order of the President (Valarie Jarrett, David Axlerod, etc)
National Special Security Events...such as the opening of the Clinton LIEbrary and Message parlor ;)

I absolutely agree, but it needs to be explicitly stated that Obama and Kerry and Gore and Hillary and Ted Kennedy and Kucinich and... ALL are trying to drive us down the same socialist state path that American voters repeatedly stand up against.

OUT the agenda so we don't have to AGAIN and AGAIN rise up at the polls against (or in response to) Hillarycare, Kennedycare, Obamacare...
