Three teens who have been missing in the South Pacific for 50 days and were already eulogized in a memorial service have been found alive by a New Zealand fishing boat.

Wonderful. Fifty days is a very long time at sea.
What a great story and yes this old man is sitting here crying...
I still have the daily prayer you gave to me above my computer here. I try to read it daily.
Great story here, good job.
So, why couldn’t they row to the other island or turn around and go home? Why couldn’t they get to one of the other 128 islands? Had there not been another fishing boat or tourist boat in 50 days?
Thank you, Lord, for protecting and sustaining them!
It’s a big ocean.
Praise the Lord! I am so very glad that He used me in this small way to help draw you closer to Him. Thank you for sharing that with me.
Those are interesting questions. I don’t know. I am very glad that they have been rescued. How happy their mamas must be!
Keep up your good work.
GOD bless and happy Thanksgiving.
Thank God.
I just saw the story on Yahoo, before checking my FR this morning.
It is quite a miracle.
I am also taken aback by the post that are critical, wondering what they were doing there, and why not just row to some island.
Obviously, some people do not know how big the Pacific is.
One has to go only a few miles to loose all sight of land.
I now live on a beach in the Pacific, and will have a “pump” boat built for me.
Just the thought of a two hour trip over to an island that I can see, 30 km away, scares me, and my boat will have a engine.
I *have* to ask about your tag line... do you mean The Cam with a capitol T?
I mean The Cam as in War Cam-For-the-Heisman Eagle!
I confess, I moved to Auburn in 1962 when I was 7. I went to elementary school there, Auburn Middle School, Auburn High School and Auburn University. My dad taught there and my siblings all attended, at one time or another. I joined the AU Marching Band, as did my older brother. We both married band members and yes, our children were also in the band.
War Eagle! It’s family.
It did surprise me, too, but maybe he just didn’t realize.
If you don’t mind me asking, where do you live? My husband and I alternate our time between Sentani, Papua, Indonesia and Auburn, AL. Our home in Papua is 13 miles directly inland.
Mom, I’m starting an “Auburn Iron Bowl - War Eagle!” thread tomorrow about two hours before the game. Would you like me to ping you?
Just a suggestion to those cheering for the other team. Of course you have the right to post on the Auburn thread. But, would you consider posting your own pro-Bama thread? I personally don’t like the animosity that I see between our schools (although I always want to beat y’all - but I imagine y’all want to beat us as well). I’m just thinking that it might be easier to avoid unpleasantness if we have separate threads.
“If you dont mind me asking, where do you live?”
I live in the small coastal town of Dalaguete, on Cebu, in
the Philippines.

Couple that with no navigation except heavenly bodies and it is easy to see how three teenage boys could get lost with just a small deviation off course.
I'm sure living off fish, seagulls and rainwater for 50 days was no picnic either.
That must be another wonderful paradise. How is the diving there? Pretty spectacular, I imagine.
