WASHINGTON -- The White House says President Barack Obama has received 12 stitches in his lip after being hit during a pick up basketball game.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says the president was inadvertently struck by someone's elbow Friday.
I’m sure his concierage has several shirts available at any given moment!!

We know it was something but an elbow? and needing twelve stitches does not ring true.
12 stitches in his lip? He must have got kneed hard in the groin. How long before his vagina is healed up?
I don't notice any blood on the shirt either.
Either he just happened to have an extra shirt with him or this story is bogus.
I agree. Cut lips typically bleed profusely, immediately; there is no way to get a cut lip requiring stitches and not get blood all over your shirt.
One little square of gauze isn't enough to stop the bleeding, either.
I'd also expect to see some swelling pretty quick, which isn't showing in the picture.
Twelve stitches seems like a lot, unless he was sutured by someone using very small, fine sutures placed close together, the way a plastic surgeon would. Those guys can get a surprising number of stitches in a fairly small space.
I vote that the moose cold-cocked him.

I’m guessing he put on a different shirt. Why would the parade him in front of photogs covered in blood?
There is not only no sweat, there is no blood on the shirt.
