Last year my sister-in-law and her two granddaugthers stopped by for a visit on their way to Arizona. Her car has a DVD player and they were a little short of DVD’s to play. I let them borrow my 4 disc set of classic Warner Bros cartoons. Since the granddaughter have been raised in the age of political correctness they have never seen the original Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, etc., cartoons. My sister in law said they laughed so hard she thought she was going to have to stop to let them use them bathroom. I always thought that Bugs was the greatest American philospher of the 1950’s, Don’t get mad, get even!

Couldn’t agree more, this PC thing has gotten completely out of hand.

I grew up with those cartoons and more, they’re hilarious and when I see what my youngest grandkids watch for supposed cartoons I have to shake my head.

So much effort, artistry, intelligence and humor went into those cartoons. I detest the computer generated cartoon figures of today with their warped faces and bodies. The cartoons are far too fantastical. They are messing up kids minds in my opinion. Give me good old Bugs Bunny and Betty Boop which had jazz tunes on its soundtracks. Like Minnie the Moocher. Even Mighty Mouse was much better.
